Hey guys my boy has a 03' oz edition lancer...wants a cat back system any suggestions on this....want something kinda deep...not that i just hit vtec sound.

Greddy Evo Cat-back, I think The Mike had that on his Evo?

Also Apexi N1 or Worldsport (if you can find it) is very bassy/non ricy.

greddy evo is a deep sound for the Lancer, i liked it but it wasnt me, so ipersonally had a custom catback made because i didnt like the greddy one, sold that a while ago, my cat back is 2.5" custom bent pipe into a Real Apexi N1 muffler (no ebay sh*t). Apexi doesnt make a cat back for the lancer and the exhausts are different bends for the lancer and evo. if he doesnt want a custom cat back done then i would recomend either the greddy Evo2 exhaust or my favorite out of these two Buschur racing makes a real nice cat back with high flow magana flow muffler. if theres any other questions about these cars needed just ask me

N/P, a price range of what your friend is looking to spend would help. Because if he/she has the dough I would recommend pricier stuff like the RS*R exhaust.

ohh yeah and i forgot tone wise i think my custom one is a lot deeper then the greddy one i had. and i forgot to add i deleted the resonator.

They sure made one for my DSM, if you look hard enough I bet there is one. I also know a good fabricator who can relocate flanges for a damn good price to make it fit.

I am very very very weary of Buschur products especially with his "EVO 3 GT" turbo made in some POS third world country (16g knock off). I will never purchase a product from him.

trust me u can look hard RS*R doesnt make one for the lancer plus why spend the money on an expensive cat back thats made for a diiferent car and then have it all chopped up just to have it fit not to mention the extra money your gonna have to spend on top of the close to (or less maybe) 500 sum dollars your put out just to have it fitted

Hehehe okay...makes sense now but I would say $100 AT MOST additional. But yea I agree with what you recommended and it would be a lot less hassle since it's a straight bolt on.

Gorilla Unit 33 10-18-2005 10:13 PM

i got my muffler from apexi for like 190 i think? and then the pipeing and all custom done was like 230 with hangers and all so yeah custom exhuast with a cheap muffler would not only be your best bet for tone knowing its deep (ill take a sound clip of mine if u want) and the cheapest

Little G 10-18-2005 10:37 PM

does he wanna buy a stock evo catback for it?? LOL

Jokiesmurf 10-20-2005 09:24 PM

At evolutionm.net They talk highly of Magnaflow catback for our Lancers.
