red Saleen S281 on York Rd. by Edison-Furlong

It was not the most recent variety, I think probably a couple years old. It was open top with one of those targa bars across the back. I ran across this one heading south on York Rd. as I was heading home from the CF Benefit Show in Peddler's Village. It sounded very mean and angry NICE, very rumbly exhaust and screaming supercharger. I wonder if it's anybody on here. Guy driving was "middle aged" sort of, not a young 20 something or younger.

I musta been too busy over at the Cock & Bull. Thanks for the info. Now that you told me I looked at the photographer's site and there it was.

assault187 08-25-2008 04:22 PM

That was Carl from good vibrations in the swapped saleen.

Nick 95 6sp 08-25-2008 05:03 PM

Thanks for the info, it's a very nice Mustang. I found that he actually won a prize at last year's CF Show....I was just being dumb and never heard of it.

Hahhahahha, I take it that it was you in the Supra. Driver of the vehicle was Carl. The pics are on this site somewhere. The car won best of show last year.

Nick 95 6sp 08-25-2008 08:25 PM

It was me, not Aaron. I'd like to see a vid...if it's not for public consumption maybe somebody can PM me a link.

11secdsm 08-25-2008 10:58 PM

I'll see if I can post it up tomorrow. Not the best quality but you get the idea...

gvautosport 08-26-2008 10:28 AM

Nick 95 6sp 08-26-2008 08:19 PM

Hi Carl...I use that "middle age" tag on anybody older than 17  Thanks for the vid...at first I thought it was an incar vid, so this angle was sort of marginal.

That's a pretty damn hot Mustang...maybe if I stop over at GV you guys can show it to me closer...I work in Warminster so I go near Horsham often.

11secdsm 08-26-2008 08:28 PM

Definitely stop by. We're over on Maple Ave now between 611 and Horsham Rd. 328 Maple to be exact. That car should be at the shop for the rest of the month.

Really...I take it you dont drive that supra too often?? Im always hunting...

PaleDSM 08-27-2008 08:29 AM

I asked Aaron after you called Carl and he instantly said "Must have been Nick. Do I look that old?" Haha. No offense to Nick of course. The main difference visually is Nick has black centers on the wheels and Aaron has bronze.

Nick 95 6sp 08-27-2008 10:43 AM

...you young whippersnappers oughta shut up about my oldness

....btw, I always wondered what the hell is a whippersnapper. PS: I'm 59 years old folks...Aaron is like maybe late 20's?....he's another "middle aged"

Actually, I drive it to work often, on nice days. I've always driven mine a lot...I just love driving it even if I'm not going anyplace special. First two years I owned it, it was my daily driver putting almost 15k a year on it....so I've put over 80k miles on it since I've owned it for almost 9 yrs now.

I almost drove it to work today but I had to bring my older boy with me and he prefers the stereo in my daily driver. I prefer to hear my car. That's what caught my attention on this Saleen...it sounds so mean and raw...I like that.
