ONLY good thing about me not goin is i got the house to my self! w00t I love this time of year! haha. I'll post the pics my mom takes when she gets home, whenever that is.

oh how nice it would be to go back again

I am still on the fence about going. I got my pass to get in. But I have a feeling it is going to suck this year. Almost everyone I know that goes every year are not going because of the economy. I heard a lot of the big sponsored parties are not taking place either this year. I will decide tomorrow if I am going to fly out tuesday.

Spocknasty 11-03-2008 02:38 AM

I'll be there for your video pleasure.

first time to vegas, first time to sema.. any suggestions?

WRXD 11-03-2008 01:37 PM

last year was my first year so I am no expert. The monorail gets really crowded during the rush hours maybe try to go a bit early/stay a little late at the show.

Definitely check in early so you don't have to stand in the huge lines to get your badge. I think you can do it online.

Take more cash than you think you need. Wear comfortable shoes. Forget about sleeping. When leaving the show, get to the taxi stand early, or wait in line for an hour or more.

God, I'm glad I'm not going this year.

I always get a hotel near the convention center normally the Sahara. It is nothing special but I can jump on the shuttle bus in the morning and get a ride to sema for free. Then just walk home after the show is over so I don't have to wait in those lines. You really don't spend any time in the hotel just to shower.

Try to find out where the sponsored parties are and try to get in. Although they are usually all dudes they normally have open bars so you can get wasted there and then go out from there.

If you are friends with any of the models they normally know what is going on and where to go. Last year the Scion models and Nissan models got us in everywhere for free without waiting in line. We hit up Tao on Halloween, Body English for Scion party, and some other good clubs. It was a blast.

If you stay till it ends on Friday you can normally get some really good deals, along with free stuff. A lot of places just throw stuff away they don’t feel like packing.

Where are you staying at?

ho1ywars 11-03-2008 02:19 PM

were staying at summer bay. about two miles away from the convention center

Alright guys stupid question here...but going to Sema isnt for myself but the boyfriend to network and get a new job. I'm down with going and walking around...but what kinda attire is this dealie. And yes you leg humpers will say short skirts and all but for real...im an interior designer and our industry is very dressy when it comes to these things. But i dont want to walk around for 2 days with my feet killing me...any advice and keep it clean please!
