I may be interested in setting up at Willis Chevy on this date. I'm seeing that date as being open as far as any other shows or events. Willis has a nice location, spacey area, and if its a nice day that may turn out to be a pretty good show.

lol...I'm happy to make you Happy...Happy is good

As far as the low response, are you surprised? It is what it is sweetheart. Our scene here in Delaware simply... "sucks"...Don't get it wrong, My organization will always Rep the 302. But come year 09, with exception of a few select events here in Del, we'll be repping the 302 in our neighboring states where the custom car / import tuner scene is REALLY happening. Really tired of ice skating up hill when it comes to campaigning to rally the scene around here. Beside the car club I belong to has members repping the quad-states of PA, NJ, MD & DE ...Every where we go within their states the scene is ALWAYS more poppin than it is here. EVEN if their town is a little smaller! The Hot Rodders, Muscle, and Classic enthusiasts here in Delaware has the custom car scene dominated and on lock. Again, just check out their meets and rallies. Even the few times they have shows. Its ALWAYS packed.

Also, I've noticed there's a lot of peeps here in Del that are in a bit of denial when it comes to our scene. In conversations I mention how soft and non-supportive the C.C.scene is around here, and the response i usually get is...."Well, I wouldn't say our scene is soft"...Ummmmm, AHHH YESSS our scene IS soft!...lol...Maybe once we get through the denial part, we can finally get down to getting it poppin around here...Then again, maybe its just not meant to be. But its cool, all the other close states are holding it down, and they're all within close range

Oh I agree, I figure if I have too i'll be the odd ball at carshows with the tuner car. I have a couple people that are talking about going to some shows now, one person has a 03 GTI with some work done too it.

:-p ...Good one...Yeah, its no question, Delaware is a party happening, exciting, over the edge state...IF YOU'RE 75!!!...Yeah, the 302 is geared toward the conservative and quiet. Its made for the White picket fence, mini van, picnic on Sunday, Golf on Wednesday type. Which is why I like living here. We're close to all the hot spots in the north east...Three main east cost cities (New York, Philly and Baltimore,) are within close range. We're connected to well known beach/party resorts... You can go to these places, have fun, raise all kinds of Hell, than come back to your nice quiet home state and chill. I like those terms

I dont know guys... I dont think the scene up this was was very good or organized at all before TST started... but we just spread the word and slowly people joined up on here, and its a lot different now.
It seems hard at first, but you've just got to make the effort to hand out flyers and spread the word whenever you have the chance. Tell your friends to tell people, and it'll spread... I mean TST went from 10 people to 100 to 1000 and beyond... and its mostly all word of mouth and its gotta start somewhere.
I've got a ton of flyers if you want me to send some down your way... if you'll make the effort to hand them out I'll be more than happy to mail them to you.
Just let me know... I'm sure you can do it, but it'll just take some effort and patience... it wont happen overnight but I bet in 6 months or a year you'll see a noticeable change. Just make sure to keep the invites toward clean and performance oriented cars and owners so the trash doesnt take over...

I know exactly where you're coming from bro. Thanks for the good words of support...Trust me I've been on the scene around here for a minute or two. Started Street Pilot X which made big things happen a couple years ago. The scene here in DEL was hot but faded off. The support here was bigger than the state itself..Things just died off... The economy can be blamed for a "small" portion of it, but Del is just a different breed of state...Its MAD conservative down here. Do something a least bit overboard or flamboyant and you're damn near frowned upon....Bring style and glam to this area, and over that of getting support, you're more hated on, or jealous demons are let loose. Trust me, we've twisted, bent, and turned to get things poppin, but the numbers here are just too wide spread. I mean when you read peeps posting from your own little "2" hour state, talking about upstate Delaware is too far from Central Delaware ( a 45 minute drive)... to go to a car show and support those that are trying to make your state happen??? Well that pretty much sums up the general attitude in our area. That's why at our local larger car shows, you check out the tags, and a big number are from out of state (PA,NJ,MD even NY)... BUT there ARE some real supporters around here that hang no matter what...LOL... Its not as bad as we make it seem, but its NO Where as good as it should be :)

I just wanted to add to both sides of this...

i'm originally from Brooklyn, NYC... I just moved to Delaware... I Do like it here... alot... I don't love it yet..
I love the houses (just bought a new one), the people are alot nicer than NY'ers.... I do love the roads.. very smooth, and tuner friendly... I love how there's always carshows.. I really wanna start going to them,.. I'm not sure how friendly the shows are to work-in-progresses yet though, I havent tried to enter any show yet to show my pile.

now, on slowEJ-8's side...
I'm starting to go nuts, stircrazy... gasprices high so I havent been going to NY unless i have to....
one of the reasons why I joined this forum.. cuz Im extremely bored, not much to do here, IMHO,.... especialy here at work.. So.. yeah... I've been leaning on the hating delaware side lately... but there is still alot to love.

no sales tax!!!! best state everrrrr
