Titan at the track again

This time you can hear his tires breaking loose mid track. Still, look at the MPH, not the time.

Should be a 12 second car. Time to seriously consider traction as a priority.

Yeah, would help if he knew how to drive back then too. That's why we're trying to get him to post up NEW videos where it's been reported that he's actually gotten better than a 2.6 60'. He's secretive of his vids.

And a supra that runs 13's at 130...you'd be unimpressed by that?

I'm sure he could make it stick if he did drag radials or slicks.

Of course I would be unimpressed if a 130mph Supra ran 13s. A 130mph car should not run 13s, it should run high 10s or very low 11s. I see no point in bragging about trap speed if you're spinning wheels the whole 1/4 mile.

lol...of course, everything traction is easier to say when you have AWD under your belt.

I just think it is crazy to put that much work into a car to make it fast and completely ignore traction. C'mon, he was still spinning wheels halfway down the track. :drag:

I've seen plenty of Supras trap 130's at the track and run 10's on street tires. Launching, even a high power car has a lot to do with driver. That's why you see some Supras trap super high and run 13's and why some go 10's-11's. Same thing with any car.

Why is a 12 second car something impressive anyway? There are tons of street driven, street legal cars that go 10's and deeper.

It's not specifically the time, but the car/engine doing it.

LSHatch 10-10-2005 08:41 PM

True. I understand that.

But, what about all the other weird cars that actually go 12's without a problem? ie. K-cars?

Don't forget though, the people that have k cars sometimes have engine swaps in them and also have traction bars installed.

LSHatch 10-10-2005 08:51 PM

So, why doesn't "Titan" wise up and do something about traction vs. wasting all his money on "go fast" parts? Like it's been stated, why have the power when you can't use it?

Sounds like the typical dyno queen..

He has. He just won't post his new vids with them on it.

You're funny. There's already recorded saturns in the 12's, cupcake.

no such thing as a fwd traction bar (at least not on K-cars) and the engines that get swapped in are simply the turbocharged versions of the one that came stock
