1 world 2 wheels

No this is not a spin off of 2 girls 1 cup. It is however a challenge by Trek to get more people to ride their bicycle rather than taking a car to reduce CO2.

I did 12 miles today on my bike rather than by car.

I ride on Two Wheels All the Time!!!

Wait..Mine has a Motor that doesn't Count Right?

240sxDann 08-12-2008 09:36 PM

no thanks lol. I did enough of non motorized 2 wheel riding back in the day. Now.....nahhhhh. I have like a 20 mile trip to work...that is NOT happenin.

Scapegoat 08-12-2008 09:37 PM

i'm seriously tempted... but I can't b/c the only way to get to work is by crossing a river... and the only bridge close enough is motor vehicles only :(

TGilb2007 08-12-2008 09:58 PM

Yea.... sadly, this is a no-can-do really for me either. I really need to drive to work (27mi one way), and drive around everywhere else i need to be (minus heading to my neighbors, or select friends)

cmr076 08-12-2008 10:46 PM

my dad parked his 2 cars and 3 ducati's and started riding his bicycle to work (from chestnut hill to his law firm on 19th and market) and said he LOVES it (not about saving the environment but more about the exercise)

If I started to ride my bike to work I'd save $3.52/week.

Xavier 08-13-2008 12:47 PM

I would need to get up earlier.

And buy a bike.

CHAOS 08-13-2008 12:50 PM

and get a thermostat for it.

DropTopChevy 08-13-2008 08:19 PM

Didn't do any miles today besides recreational. I plan on riding to work tomorrow though. I'm saving about 2.50 a day.

abrok99 08-13-2008 08:26 PM

i ride about 9-10 miles a week but i dont drive but once i do its not gonna change

240sxDann 08-13-2008 08:38 PM

a guy I work with just started doing this. But its because he lost his license. He rode an hour and a half to work today on a mountain bike. (apparently its like 12-15 miles one way)

I know this may come as a shock to you, but I am actually thinking on getting a decent bike, not like one that you have, I don't want a bike that costs more then my damn truck did, but one of the ones that go for like $250.00-$350.00, maybe even $450.00 if they are really nice. I don't want a road bike. LMK what you have.
