Englishtown Road Course 10/16

Hi guys,

I went to the Etown free track day in the beginning of June. It was fun but too hot for a track that has no garage or shades to cool down. I'm organizing a open track day on October 16th.

It's $75 for the whole day. Everyone should get 4-5 sessions of 20minutes each.

There will be no instructors, but cars will be grouped based on modification and experience. Drivers will be asked to attend a safety meeting. And cars will have to pass tech inspection.

The registration is open to all drivers now and the available spots are limited.

Here is the web site for the event. Be sure to read the FAQ and tech sheet.

well is this event open only to auto x guys or would you let drifters in. just a question.

driftingrx5.7 08-19-2008 12:00 PM

i think i will be down for that! 75 bucks is not a bad price for the day not like here in poconos where is 2something a day

SUPRARICE87 08-20-2008 05:28 PM

How many cars do you expect to get for this? I'm also worried that my harness won't be legal unfortuneately. I'll forward you some pics of the installation of that.

I think that I will take the RX-7 to this event. The price is pretty reasonable compared to other HPDE events.

There are drifting events at the Etown road course. The format of the 10-16 event is for road course only.

The cap is 50. We will need to reach this number to be able to rent the track at this price.

Make sure if you are using a harness with a stock seat, the harness should be mounted to a roll bar at about shoulder height.

I have a Sparco Sprint with a 5 Point Harness. But the rear belts aren't mounted at shoulder height as no one makes a harness bar or roll bar for this car. I have to measure the angle they travel down to the rear seat belt bolts to see if it meets spec or not.

It should be no more than 10 degrees below the shoulder or the driver will move forward in deceleration.

Are there any open spots on the list left?

dragonfly2k3 08-30-2008 10:40 PM
