Finally the clutch is going

Hey guys, its most def. looking like my clutch is going!! When I shift, it feels sloppy when it engages! So with that said, I'm waiting on some money but then I'm ordering my clutch kit! I would appreciate it if people could help me with the clutch install! I would really appreciate it.

If you can't find anyone to help and you end u having to pay to install it, then go to Precision Tuning...it's a hall (Brick, NJ!) but they are thee best!

I'm going to need a clutch soon also and i only have 14,000 miles...I heard my car is a real b*tch with the install...Maybe we can have a " Clutch Install meet" one day for everyone who is in need of a clutch....I'll bring the beer

That sounds like a plan! Haha I'm at 40k right now so it was bound to go at some point!

Mine is gone now... (43,000 miles on an EVO's stock clutch... I'm the king. )

Precision is a good place. "Philly Boy" had his version 4 tranny installed there on his Rex. The EVO's clutch install is a real job so don't take it to just anybody that would mistaken it for a modded Lancer. Take it to somebody that knows what the f@#k they're doing. Some guys on EvoM have experienced "lockout" problems above 7000rpm due to improper installation. It's a minor problem (and can be corrected fairly easily) however, an "average" shop might not know this. Also, don't be afraid to spend a few bucks... a grenading transfer case will cost you more.

Precision is a good option.

Doesn't stevevo have more then that on his clutch????

He's got over 60,000 miles... you're right, I think he still may have the clutch. I drove his car and the clutch did feel a little weak. He won't have the stock clutch for long... not with a set of cams on that thing.

Well... I'm still the king (kinda.) I did 43,000 miles in 17 months.

Little G 10-10-2005 05:40 PM

I won't even make it to 20,000 miles
