Quick question about Oil

I currently have full synthetic in my 2.5i but now i want to switch because i see no benefits of using synthetic. If i go to have my oil changed from synthetic to real is there anything that has to be done or is it just like any normal oil change? Thanks

Nope, just simply change the oil back to regular. Being a non-forced induction car, synthetic really isn't benefiting you anyway.

Have you ever had your oil analyzed? If not, you don't have any data to validate or refute the the higher cost per quart you're spending on synthetic oils.

before the Baja , I had a 2000 RS. It had all of the bolt ons available. I ran 1 quart of the Lucas synthetic stabilizer and topped off with royal purple every oil change. I also ran redline in the trans and rear diff. I Definately got better mileage , plus the worn first and second synchros got a lot better. When I sold it I cheaped out and put regular oil back in. A week or two later the engine died. Badly. I don't know if it was coincidence , a rough new owner , or what. Switching back isn't SUPPOSED to be an issue. It might just be that 85 k of the 97 on the car was with synthetic in the engine. I run ELF oil in the engine now. 4200 miles and it's still clean and @ the right level on the stick.
