Turbo saturn at the track

Titan finally posted up his track vid from his old setup. As you can tell, he has QUITE a few traction issues.

ehhh props for a saturn

Little G 10-02-2005 03:58 PM

Yeah props i guess..

I love how you guys are so timid, yet he had more horses at the ground than most of the people here and had to keep letting off because his car kept pulling to one side.

This is hilarious.

Little G 10-02-2005 04:55 PM

I just thought it was weird cause it was a saturn and you usually never see that..

Understandable. I don't have a lot of turbo saturn track vids for some reason. Guess they just don't post them up. He was putting down 350whp. He said that he had another track run hitting about 125mph, but still not breakin out of those highs. Again, traction issues. =(

Nah, Titan is the one that raced the 240sx and shot sparks out of his tailpipe. Ian raced the SS. Ian's car doesn't have many traction problems because he developed some parts for smoother delivery.

*edit*
Ian would also beat the pants off of Titan, as Ian's car slams out much more HP.

Yeah, 350whp and like 320ft-lbs of torque is really annoying, I'd imagine. I know I have some torque steer problems on my car with directional tires (not as bad). Ask iratruplaya. Torquesteer on my car is suckage.

That's what happens when they don't design the car with equal length half-shafts.

True. I still think it's weird that everyone elses saturn pulls to the right, and mine jerks hard left.

The half-shaft is on the right side.

i have UN-equals and NO tq steer.

have you checked to make sure your engine is centered correctly?
loosen motor mounts, jack up front of car, pull front wheels, push in on halfshafts and measure movement, use big piece of wood or prybar to shift motor around till both sides are same.

Little G 10-02-2005 06:43 PM

it is a pretty badass car

Hahahaa! You're funny. :-p

It's a selling point of a saturn to have off-centered engines, and mega torque steer.

Plus, everyone that has an actual problem with it, has poly mounts.

Hey Ya never know ;) some things are worth a look

OptiCon 10-03-2005 03:07 PM

I've seen a 210 whp N/A neon run a 13.6 on walmart economy tires. This saturn is slow. I like the sleeper attempt, but it's slow.

well when ur blaming his slow times on traction problems u know its only reasonable to run with them on and see how much faster his car really is if u say so
