Anyone know the HP record for a stock sleeve B18?
 

Looking to find the stock sleeve HP record for a B18, I cant find it anywhere I thought it was around 525 WHP.

Mike at bcspeed built a b18 and made 675whp on stock sleeves. I think there is a thread on it here, ill look.

I plan on sleeveing mine I have rods, pistons, arp rod bolts and headstuds now, 500 whp next week is the plan then.

Your gonna need more than a 30 for 675whp. I think mike was running a full race t72

I made 505 on my bone stock ls/vtec and then got valve float after that. That is stock pistons, rods, bone stock head, and an autozone head gasket. This was on a mustang dyno not like some other dynos in the area that read alittle high. I have been running it over 2 years with no problems.

I dont want 675 only 525 I think we all know a Gt30 wont push 675 without a 150 shot lol

If I blow it up I will just put it on the lift and sleeve it like i was planning I rather push the limits then Build it. P.S I own a shop but thanks for the Info everyone. all I asked was the record, better save that 98 cents for some more stickers since you gave me your 2. lol

505 is great on a stock block, nice job man

I just bought springs and retainers to see how much more we can get out of it. Oh the things you do when your built motor has so many issues.

there's a thread on honda-tech somewhere with a list of the most powerful stock sleeve motors. those ls and gsr blocks are insane.

i wanna say evans made just a touch over 700, or maybe it was in the high 6's with a stock sleeve b series.

i wouldnt doubt it, Evans does everything.

why risk it? just sleeve, especiallyt if you are kinda planning to already. I dont know if you understand fully what can happen, its not like your sleeve will juss crack and you can juss say oh well time to replace ur sleeve, you can **** up ur pistons, rods, valvetrain, crank... alot of other stuff can break along with the sleeve, build right the first time

i agree, its awesome to brag that you have stock sleeves, but when that **** breaks and you arent racing, youll be watching from the stands from a long time.

While I agree with you. I have had yet to harm any engine components when I cracked a sleeve. So far since 2000 I have cracked 2 sleeves. One just cracked the other one actually broke towards the outside of the block and not inward towards the piston. But on both occasions nothing was harmed besides the block.

My back up motor the stock one that I am making 505 on has been running for over 2 years now with a ton of passes on it and not a single problem yet with it. The motor has actually been more dependable then my built motor which I have had nothing but issues with.
