Need to fill automotive video demo reel

I have a month to complete my demo reel.

I'm looking for some sick cars, bikes, and people to come out and produce some awesome shots.

I'm looking to make the most badass vid reel ever. Think slow motion shots, cameras strapped all over cars, special rigs, crazy focus shots, awesome stunts, sweet drifts, unique and memorable moments, and shots you wouldn't think possible.

If you would like to get involved shoot me a PM. I need cars of all kinds and people who can drive with flair.

I need someone with enough skill to be able to drift within 4 or 5 feet of the back of a truck so I can get this shot.

Im making a CarbonFiber camaera boom rig for a client who does auto photography. The rig is made up for 5' sections that can clamp together to extend as long as he needs for his aerial shots. Ever think of a setup like this so you can have more distance between you and the cars you are trying to shoot?

Yea, I was just ganna say. Or even if you had someone that could lend/let you use a cherry picker as a crane, you could easily get the shot that way and still have the car pretty far out.

Spocknasty 06-29-2008 12:40 PM

I was going to set up my 8' jib in the back of the truck, but I'm going to have to look into the above suggestions now...

OPZ 06-29-2008 01:05 PM

I'm sure you could get someone to lend you a cherry picker for a day. And stickypods FTW! I hope to be picking a couple up here soon.

Spocknasty 06-29-2008 01:14 PM

Anyone have a cherry picker? lol. Yeah I have a sticky pod but never use it. It's too shakey.

OPZ 06-29-2008 02:49 PM

Really? How bad is it? Cause I would think especially for that motorcycle shot, I would think it would be one of the only ways.

I wanna have a bunch of car shots in my demo reel for my BS, so in about a year I'm going to be in this same boat. You might remember me, I emailed you a long time ago asking about your stuff (DVX/NTG2)
