Junkyards in SNJ?

It looks like I finally got rid of my car and I'm looking to source some OEM parts for a 99 Civic Ex.
Does anyone know of any reputable yards around the area? I need bumpers, skirts, and exhaust specifically.

Vinny 04-29-2008 03:31 PM

I might be heading to one this weekend down Monmouth Road heading toward Freehold.
you can't miss it, it's a huge junkyard, I've seen a couple tuner cars parked in the front a couple times.
Unfortunately i don't know the name of the place, but I'm going Saturday. I'll try to find out more info.

Checkout AA Auto Salvage in Williamstown on Piney Hollow Road.....they have tons of good stuff there.

Is that Tillmans? Right where 537 and 68 intersect?

They don't let you walk around anymore at that junkyard. All they carry is newer stuff. I know they crushed a couple of FC's that they had over there.

Blacey's U-Pick Auto Parts on 537 is pretty good I think and they are always getting new stuff in. Thats where I got my BBS's.

Hey if you happen to get a look inside, or even from the outside, could you see if they have any 99ish looking civics?

Yeah the last time I went to Tillman's they weren't very friendly. I'm definitely looking for a u-pick type of place.
Is that the smaller, fenced in little place?

Vinny 04-30-2008 10:42 AM

I don't live by there, I've only come across when I was heading up to Freehold mall.
If my buddy still wants to go on Friday, I'll check for you.

If your in the area I would check that one. Think its called Albion or something? I work in the area and want to stop by but haven't!

Vinny 04-30-2008 08:20 PM

I've been to that one, they barely have any import cars.

jissenkenbu 04-30-2008 09:22 PM

feeman's or friedmans, near hampton lakes on new rd.

I had 2 240 sx all the time i went i was able to find what i needed including a low milage Z31 turbo manual trans for my boys z31.

BTW anyone see the 05-06 tail lights fora g35 sedan? The ones with the circles.

If anyone can find them, pic them up for me and ill pay you for them. Desperatly want them.

IemShamus 05-02-2008 11:02 AM

I just got off the phone with Blacey's and Tilghman's.
Tilghman's - still the a**holes I remembered them being.
Blacey's - 2 00 Civic's at the yard. Headed out now.

If anyone can think of any more spots, let me know.

Vinny 05-02-2008 11:07 AM

goodluck, if you find any 240's there, give me a heads up! lol

Will do. What year? Or does it matter?

Vinny 05-02-2008 11:35 AM

95-98, thanks!

Plastik Racer 05-03-2008 08:40 AM

Blacey's are cool as hell I'll be heading there today to look around. Tilghman's use to be good but I guess they changed managment and went down hill. Also there's one called red and black in jamesburg that is ok not to much new stuff but I did see a RX7 with fresh tail lights.

Blacey's were cool people but for some reason they told me they had 2 00 Civics and they didn't.
I walked away with nothing. After lugging my tool bag around for an hour.
I didn't see any 240s in there either. They have plenty of mullet cars though.
I went to Tilghman's since it was on my way home and they were of no help. I really don't understand why they're even there.

Silverfc88 05-03-2008 03:37 PM

I agree Tilghman's used to be good. You could walk around and pick at parts, but they turned into big dickheads.

Thanks for the tip on the other junkyard. I might have to check them out.
