New rider on a zx-14!

A kid at my work has been saying how hes gonna get a bike. So hes asked me a few times what bike to get and so on. I told him to start small and learn. Espically since hes about 5'8" 155. Well what does he come to work with today? A brand new zx-14!!!!! WTF So much for starting small. Hes never ever been on a bike and is already talking about how hes gonna smoke this guy and that guy. Man i hope his dumb a** doesnt go down. Sorry just venting.

Ps On a side note.......Should I give him his first beating cause hes dying to race me? Or is that encouraging him to race it?

Stay clear of that dumbass for a while so he doesn't wind up taking you down with him. Cause you know its bound to happen.

I give him a month til he dumps the bike.

But race him at Atco....that way they'll have the EMT there already.

How the hell is he going to ride that thing??? He has never rode a bike before??? wow

Ender81 04-24-2008 12:28 PM

Don't encourage him, all joking aside he's going to take someone out with him and that's just plain sad.

supraghost 04-24-2008 01:05 PM

Dave 04-24-2008 01:30 PM

Thats kinda what I was thinking. He doesnt wanna do it from a start till he breaks in his bike. Which the start would be my advantage. But I might do it from a roll anyways just to prove a point.

Not that Im aware of but I could be wrong. He lives in South jersey.

Tell him to invest in a nice life insurance policy.

His family will be glad he did.

93EGY8 04-24-2008 06:13 PM

dont ****ing race the kid yet because hes gonna hammer on the bike off the line, and its gonna spin the rear tire like all busa's and zx14's do and hes gonna lose it and die..lol..so dont race him yet

Renegade_ 04-24-2008 06:19 PM

I can see him mashing the throttle down and flying off. Does he even know how to hold on?

xEJ20x 04-24-2008 06:39 PM

When you do race him and he kills himself, bring a knife.
That way you can take his kidney and sell it for a few thousand on the black market.

Then buy a Camaro.

Signatus230 04-24-2008 09:04 PM

Oh ****, lol. a 14... wow. Those things aren't exactly cheap either. Aside from that, yea, he is an idiot. Plain. I mean a 600 for a starter bike on a FIRST TIME bike is pushing it for me... did he take the MSF?

blkZ06 04-24-2008 09:16 PM

Squid + ZX14 = Disaster

Odds are its gonna end up in the dustbin, theres a slim chance hell come out of it ok but judging his personality from what youve said id lean towards wipeout. My first bike was a 2005 R1 Raven Edition, I daily drove it and put almost 8000miles on it without a single incident it all comes down to respect for learning the bike. Ill put money on his wreck being him not knowing his braking distance, hell get down out on and get way over extended and run into something or lock them up and dump it.

driftingrx5.7 04-25-2008 02:04 AM

WOW i have been riding for 10 years and i don't even want to even get on a zx14! don't race him!!!

hatchRus 04-25-2008 10:30 AM

Wow! A zx-14 for a first bike!! I would like to know why did the salesmen sell him the bike?
