Question For The Sound/Stereo Guys

I had a general question, I am looking to get some bass in my car and don't want to hook up another amp/kit/etc (already have this for my car speakers). I was looking into the Infinity Kappa 12" subs that are self-powered? This would be perfect for me because when it's time for me to go to the track I can just unplug and take out versus unplugging all the wires, amp, etc. I have seen them go on eBay for around $200 which is not a bad at all. Are there any other self-powered subs out there and how is the quality on the Infinity? Thanks

Infinity IMO has the best quality self powered subs. I have an infinity basslink im selling now, if you want you can even buy a plug and play harness so like you said no amp kit. Otherwise most of the other ones you have to run another amp kit.

Can I buy your Evo with it? j/k

Yea you live near me so if you want to meet up so I can take a look let me know. I definately want to see how it would place in my car and if it weighs a ton. Since it's plug/play I would also like to see how it sounds.

Not a problem. It used to be in my uncless bmw but he sold it and I was going to use it, but changed my mind. Its actually pretty light, and its the clear one not black so it can add a little bling to your trunk, comes with the bass boost knob that you mount in the drivers seat area too :wiggle:
It has a bmw harness on it now, not sure if that harness will work with you, but you never know. Let me know when you want to check it out, im home all day tuesday and thursday, and most of the day the rest of the week.

Will you be at the meet tonight? That would be cool if we could hook it up and "respectfully" test it there. If not you are close enough I could meet up with you next Tuesday.

I got about 5 of everything, a very nice hose, and a big driveway. lol ill do mine myself when I build up energy becase those wheels are a PITA and no one can wash them like me. But your more than welcome wash your black beauty also aslong as its before 2:30.
BTW you can check out the basslink while your at it.

Yea unfortunately I don't get off of work until 4, so if you could bring the sub to the meet that would work out well too.

03tarmacblack 09-15-2005 12:24 PM

Sounds like a plan, see you there cutie.

i have a basslink and i really like it. i realize it cant hang with a more serious setup but it is a great addition keeping in mind the price and convenience of it. its not very heavy, sits in the corner of my trunk, and i can pull it out when i go AutoXing.
