i got a 87 mustang 5.0 gt, its runnen real rough at start up, i unplugged the iac, nd it idles fine, but wen i drive it putts and feels like it wants to die, nd it does the same thing wen i have it plugged in... bad iac?

try corral or pennmustangs dont think there are many 5.0's on here at all.

that sound a lot like a bad iac. not to sure on the 5.0 but it does the same thing with my civic. can you take it out and see if the screen is dirty?

idle air control is basically for warm up shouldnt affect it driving at non idle ....sounds like a bad EGR valve to me ....just bought a 5.0 a few months ago havent had this problem tho

found out wat it was the red wire going to the mass air flow was broken

yeah, it is thnx bro, so i put the new clip in still ran a little ruff so i replaced the iac running alot smoother
