Tax Return?

what did you buy for you car with your tax return? I only got 280 bucks, but for me, this saved my ass. lol i just ran outta cash so the 280 helped a bit. I got a new battery, brake calipers, a tank of gas, and a few tools:supz:. What did you get?

scutzi128 02-26-2008 10:48 AM

PAFirefighter11 02-26-2008 11:52 AM

I'm doing mine tonight. It prob won't be more than $700 or so, though I am making a several grand more this year than last. :) It's about 7 bus days til it shows in my account once I file it. I'm buying new lenses for my camera, a 160* t-stat for the Camaro, and an upgraded wiring harness for my Projector/HID setup.

Mines sitting in my bank account, and staying there.

BTW, what form do we have to fill out to get the money from the Gov?

MPowerKai 02-26-2008 02:17 PM

oh yea, good reminder. Its like 300 or 600 bucks back right? I wanted to know about that too.

The additional refund checks are based off of your 2007 tax return filings. There is no "additional" paperwork to fill out.

zerioustt 02-26-2008 04:49 PM

Word...

Kelly and I are going tonight to see the accountant tonight. Getting married this year is providing us a huge break, especially since she hasn't been working since July. Between that and the kid, I'm looking to get a fat check back. I know you make some good coin, but the married limit is like $150k combined for the extra rebate. I would work with your accountant, cause getting that extra tax credit may make it worthwhile for you and the Mrs. to file seperately, so at least one of you still qualifies for the additional rebate.

PAFirefighter11 02-26-2008 07:48 PM

Just filed mine via Turbo Tax.. 9-13 days 'til it shows in my bank account.

WhiteXFire 02-27-2008 01:12 AM
