Maxima/Nissan Shootout

Hey myself and a few guys here in philly are trying to put together a nissan maxima drag racing shootout to be held at either Atco or Cecil later this spring.

Here is the link for anyone who wants to read the thread. Also I wanted to invite everyone in the tri-state to join in. This will be a run what you brung winner takes all. There will be a few B13's included so we'll just open it up to all nissan's. There classes will be seperated by mods, example: n/a, nitrous, turbo, etc. there will be a small fee to entry and like I said winner takes all no 2nd place, side bids are up to you.

come on guys this is just for fun all 12, 13, 14sec true streetcars are welcome. we just want to see who has the fastest maxima in the area and see how the rest of the nissan community is doing

whats so wrong our family grocery getter sedans can move down the track too. Are you scared of a maxima possibly beating your 350?

I think somone's worried about being smoked by a maxima and if that's the case. you will be divided into classes

I'm going to subscribe to this. I would probably come down to watch. A friend of mine would probably like to come down too in his turbo B15.

If you want, post this in the "Mid Atlantic/East" Section of SR20 forum. I'm sure a bunch of Sentra people would like to go drag racing.

yea but hed still have to deal with some n/a beasts. I want someone in a n/a Z to prove to me they are quick.

I do not see why a 4.5gen could not spank a 350z :supz:

Atco: track opens 2/29/08
ok looks like the shootout will have to be on a thurs or friday night, Saturdays they are running kiddie dragster, VP points series and test & tune all on the sameday so you most likely not get alot of runs on Saturdays

Tell me what you think these are some possible dates. I know having the shootout in early March is soon but this is the only Saturday thats open to test and tune only.

If early march is too soon for everyone it will be a good day to practice your skills and setup. Looks like cecilcounty is not as busy on saturdays and atco and maybe another option. here are their open saturday dates:

Mar-1, 8, 15, 22 and 29th Saturday Test & Tune Gates Open 8 am
Apr-26 Saturday Test & Tune
this maybe a good day for the shootout since the nopi's will be a atco the sameday and the track should be empty
May-10, 17, 24 Saturday Test & Tune

Why would i be scared of something like that, i bought my 350z for a DD not for a race car i got one of those already thats not a family car. If you guys really want 350z people to go, go post it on there NE section maybe someone will go be ready with your flame suit though cause it gets rough on there.

my buddies maxima ran 11.8 at atco with a custom turbo set up.left me speachless until i realized he left tranny parts all over the track.

hopefully i can fix my boost gauge by then.......

ill go with my z....for some friendly nissan competition...im letting you know now im running 13.7's...nothing too impressive...

It's a shame that E-Town took out their love for Nissans this year. Dunno if I'm gonna have a Nissan anymore but if so then I gotta see my schedule.
