What I've done since my hatch was stolen...

My old car went from this:

To this:

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e2...2/HPIM1347.jpg

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e2...2/HPIM1349.jpg

So I bought this for $200:

It didnt have any front brakes, rear brakes were shot, no motor, dismantled interior and bad wheel bearings. The previous owner screwed up wiring, sprayed the engine bay and oversprayed onto the fenders, hood, bumper and pillars, the trunk and rear bumper dont match and the drivers side door has primer on it. I swapped in some 97 ex brakes (alot bigger), fixed the rear brakes and 1 bad rear beaing, threw on a stock exhaust, dropped in a d16y7 and I'm commuting to school with it. As she sits:

FYI: my camera was dead for 2 weeks, january 10=january 24

damn lol. This is why I got a jetta instead of a Honda

Danronian 01-24-2008 10:50 PM

Planning on bringing the hatch back to life?

Coupe is a good beater. Glad to see you got another Honda so fast.

Pix make the back of the coupe look lower, but I'm guessing it's just a strange picture.

Are those some 14 in OEM optional civic wheels?

Are Honda's easy to steal or something?

I always like them, just never saw them on a slammed civic before.

My hatch got broken into this week...guess it's finally time for a security system.

And yes. Hondas are too damn easy to steal.

damn i hope they find the car your motor is in, give you the motor back and then crush their car.

streetAssasin96 01-25-2008 02:04 AM

^ i hear that, **** theives. I hope they find your motor fully built, with a full race turbo kit, and built lsd trans, and then the cops give it back to you wire tucked and they make those scum bags shave your engine bay. good luck

Kevin 01-25-2008 02:13 AM

So why is it that Honda's are so easy to steal? I've always wondered this because I keep hearing over and over about how Honda-Tech is a sespool of auto theft.

speedooo 01-25-2008 02:42 AM

i think its because the parts can be "pedalled" quickly. you can strip a civic/integra and put the parts on another civic/integra or sell them at a very fast rate

Rey The Great 01-25-2008 02:43 AM

so your honda got stolen..and you bought another honda.?i know it was cheap but you know it might get stolen again

speedooo 01-25-2008 02:52 AM

this car kbb'd for $2500 and I have $1200 into it including 2 clutches, 2 transmissions and the coilovers and i opted for full coverage...this is pretty much as far im going with this car, maybe a lip and some mudflaps, but if anyone decides they need a 94 civic dx with a rebuilt title and a primered door more than I do...they should just kill themselves.

93EGY8 01-25-2008 01:55 PM

this is the only thing that scares me away from putting my gsr in my coupe...sorry to hear bout ur hatch man..good luck with the coupe though

Danronian 01-25-2008 03:44 PM

What mudflaps did you put on the back of your hatch?

Coupe or 4dr ones? I have the coupe ones, but it looks like they don't fit as well a yours did even when I modified the mounting holes a bit.

Or did Honda actually make hatch ones that I just can't seem to find...

speedooo 01-25-2008 04:17 PM

hatch and 2dr/4dr mudflaps are completely different

pearl 01-25-2008 04:19 PM

So you found some hatch designed ones?

Damn. I can't find them.

Oh well. I modified the coupe ones, and they look decent I think.

I've gotta do the other side, and see how they both look installed.
