Tell him not to blow it all on "stupid stuff". Invest some into land / house... the market is down right now so you can get good deals, and when it goes back up he can make money off selling if he decides to.

Invest his money.

You mean /thread, right Mark? lol

And I agree, a Supra is so weak compared to an Aston. Maybe not in performance, but in overall sexuality.

dragonfly2k3 01-15-2008 04:29 PM

please, respect the car, even a stock TT will be a huge shock after driving a cavalier, i would hate to see someone inheriting your life insurance money as well.

How much are you looking to spend? A NA 5 speed in ok shape your looking around twelve or so, a good 5 speed is closer to 15+, a twin turbo, that depends on the miles and if it was a NA swapped or a straight tt.

NA swapped TT's go in the twenties, lower 20's if its still on the W58 tranny, more if all it has all electronics and TT brakes.

Turbo NA's hit 20k, but they are a tough sale. The W58 tranny seems to break past 500hp.

TT's six speed of course with all vin's go for well past 25k closer to the 30's.
Well known cars such as one by Jaime Carter, Nero, SP and others will run 50+ easily, these cars.

Here is a 50k supra
840 hp at 29psi, about 950 at 35

If your on a limited budget, a NA will work, turbo it, the stock block is about the same as the tt one without oil squirters I think, and it can hold just as much (close to 1000) on stock internals, for a cheap tranny upgrade, get the R154 out of the mk3 supra which holds close to 700hp. U will need injectors, and a head gasket to lower compression, and a TT fuel pump.

And please dont crash it. Not many left.

damn straight about the land thing, I'm most likely putting off buying a vette to buy a house...

Nick 95 6sp 01-15-2008 06:22 PM

ask Jeremy Blackwell at www.speedforsale.com to find you a real nice clean Supra ...he's very reliable and completely trustworthy.

marshallpre1 01-15-2008 07:42 PM

Take some of the information here with a grain of salt. Nick knows his Supras. supraforums is the way to go. NAs do not have the same internals as a TT. Same size engine but NOT the same capabilities. I made the jump from a slow car~corolla to a stock 97 TT. I agree with dragonfly. Be careful, get to know the car first...

Sounds good , thanks for your help guys.
