Any good body shops? Hit a pole

I was just wondering if anybody knew of any decent body shops that have fair prices

last night i hit a pole in my mom's car and i feel REALLY bad...she basically bought me my car which is about 2 weeks from being finished...i wish it had happened to my car instead of hers so that way she wouldn't have to drive around with it like this, and on top of it, she left for a business trip yesterday morning and won't be back until friday....i e-mailed her this picture though

basically, the headlight and signal light needs to be replaced and i don't know what the bumper needs done or if it can be fixed (this picture was taken after tons of model glue and clear scotch tape....the signal light was hanging by the wire when i backed up to check the damage)

you can temporarily push that bumper back out to its original shape until you get er painted..

i tried, there's no room to go under it and reaching in from where the light fell out there's no room for a hammer and screw driver....let alone the hammer by itself

Marmora/Rio Auto Body--they're owned by the same owner, and do excellent work. My brother's truck got hit in a hit and run and they made the thing look better than new-detailed the interior, washed the entire thing, detailed it. Dont know if distance/money is a problem or not...I don't think they are that cheap, but nowadays a good job costs a lot.

Is it in south jersey?

Ninjaneonturtle 01-06-2008 09:42 PM

I used to work there at Marmora A/B, and no they're not cheap at all, they want an arm and a leg, but they'll do it right. They know how to treat their customers, but not their workers. Fortunately I know how to do it right too, and if you'd like I could install the new lenses, fix the bumper and push it back out. I don't have access to a paint shop anymore though so all you would have to do is get it painted somewhere. I wouldn't charge you much anyway, just pm me if you're interested.

There's one off the 541 bypass...I think it's something along the lines of like Lamon's auto body or something like that.
My friend took his car there and did a superb job on his car. I'll try to find more info.

Prevailing labor rates are $44/hour and $22/paint.

Any shop that charges more then that is out of their minds and I don't pay more then that!

Good luck!

Seemed it from what you are describing. I work for an insurance company. Prevailing labor rates are $44/hour like I said. We don't pay anything more then that.

I don't what shop you are. If you don't want the work for $44/hour there are plenty of other shops that are just as quality if not better that do.

I don't even work there anymore, so I'm not there and therefore wouldn't charge a lot.

I took my car there in September after it got keyed. If you have Geico things will go rather smoothly since there's an in house Geico employee there. They're expensive but they did a good job. ~$650 to buff out key marks all over the car: four doors, fenders, quarter panels and trunk. They also replaced the bulb in my one fog light. I think whoever attacked my car kicked the fogs. F'n haters.

did you try finding the parts you need at a junkyard? i understand its your moms car but it looks like a hyundai or something whats the big deal. used bumper and used light housing some flat black spray paint probally cost you about $50

InvisibleMonkey 01-15-2008 11:49 PM

i didn't even think of that

she really doesn't care about the car...she told me she wasn't going to waste her money on fixing it but it was my responsibility to...so i guess i should call some junkyards this weekend
