Fender rolling?
I may need to roll my frenders when my new rims come in. Does anyone know how to, or know any good places that do it? Also, how much approx?

Back in the day, at the old red robin meets, there was a guy that had a fender roller. I believe he was a drift guy, maybe ask Ivan a.k.a Jaster if he remembers at all. Sorry, thats the best i can do.

A fender roller? Like it tucks the lip?
As far as I understand fender rolling (I did it to both my escorts) is your fenders might have a lip underneath them and you roll it up. I've heard some people who sort of give their fenders a bend (i.e. the entire thing) just ever so slightly as well. On Escorts we have a lip that we just cut out and then sand down smooth and treat for rust. Then we remove the inner wheel well plastic rain guard stuff. Clearance isn't our friend. |
He is my buddy, he rolled my fenders on my s13, if anyone wants his cell # send me a pm , or better yet, his aim name is "sam822000" , w/o the "" ... but yea, his name is sean.

A guy in SQC used to have his WRX on 18s with rolled fenders.
But on the way to his first SQC meet he hit a pothole and bent a rim. http://xtremecompacts.com/Featured%2...SubaruWRX.html |
Uncompress the corner you are attempting to roll with jack.
Use handle of a (no longer wanted/used) wooden baseball bat w/towel or rag wrapped around it. Wedge in between fender and tire. Lower jack accordingly. Roll fender to desired angle-for tire clearance. (better performed in hot weather and/or addition of a massive heat gun) -H :wiggle: |
.... or you could use a professional fender rolling tool. in my post above, i listed my buddies aim name. he has one. it comes out perfect, and he can even flare the fenders out if u want him too.

Ive also read tire rack will rent it out to you for just the cost of shipping ~30.00.
