Don't agree with it being titled "weld".

The rear dropped out, but the pinion gear was still attached. Looks more like the u-joint hold down caps blew out from torque. But that doesn't explain the shocks being missing and the leafs dropping the rear.

More than 1 problem together on that one.

Other than that, sick power.

It definitly looks like the welds that held the ladder bars to the rear broke right off, and it looks like the shocks are possibly still attached to the rear itself. My guess is once the rear twisted the end of the driveshaft snapped.
No leaf springs on that car...

You can see the shocks still attatched to the rear as well as the u joint from the driveshaft. Also in the other video it went 6.41 at 108. Which has to be the 1/8mile. So from that speed you can say its prob a low 10, or high 9 sec car.

I mistook the bottom of the ladders in the opening shots for leaf springs.

I still don't see evidence of shocks, or even a piece of driveshaft attached to the rear. I think that thing had too much torque for the rear components as is, not figuring if it was a bad weld or not.
