Our Shop
Here are some pictures of our shop. When taking these pictures, I wanted to show what goes on day to day, without cleaning up too much and making it look spotless, because as we all know a body shop gets a little cluttered. We do keep a clean shop and we do take great care not to lose parts, bolts, clips, etc.
This is a typical Friday.. somewhat empty, a little messy, basically just ready to hit the 'reset' button Monday morning. Paint This is our front shop. There are four deep garage bays, a hydraullic lift, and our downdraft paint booth in the front. Most of the paint work goes on up here. We have our lift in the first bay, so that's where a lot of major teardown and undercarriage work gets done. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c.../frontshop.jpg Body This is the back half of our building. Here's where the major collision work gets handled. You can see our frame machine in the far bay. We use the other two bays to comfortably work on three cars at a time. We try to separate paint and body work as much as possible so that we keep dust to a minimum in the areas where paint work is to be done. Outside of the middle bay you can barely see the 'outside bays' under a large roof. We use these very often when the weather is good enough. The back shop faces out into our large fenced in storage lot. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...n/backshop.jpg Office This is our main office.. air conditioned in the summer and comfortably heated in the winter. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...on/office1.jpg Paint Mixing This is our paint mixing machine. We use the Sherwin Williams paint system to ensure that your paint gets matched down to the last possible variable. Formulas are sent from our computer to a digital scale to make sure things are precise. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...paintmixer.jpg Spray Booth Our new downdraft spray booth keeps the dust down so you get the cleanest paint job possible. We keep it clean.. sweeping frequently, pressure washing the walls and reapplying BoothGuard periodically, and changing the filters often. Bright Daylight bulbs help us see true colors as they appear outside. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...boothsmall.jpg |
awsome looking shop !!!!
|
thank you sir
here are many plans for the near future.. there's much room for improvement, but we feel pretty good about where the shop is at and i think we're able to handle anything you guys can throw at us! |
looks like a terminator lurking in the first pic.
shop looks killer. the kind of place id like to work in. |
that spray booth is WILD!
So do you guys do custom work? I am still shopping around to get someone to paint my car in a HOK kandy. I need someone who can paint it PERFECT. Let me know if your interested. |

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...ion/cobra1.jpg as far as custom paint, we're venturing more into that area so i guess the answer would be yes.. we can take care of those kind of paintjobs. however, since we are mostly a collision shop, we need to be very careful which ones we get involved with. we have a lot of insurance work every day. we will be happy to talk to you if you come in for an estimate and we can give you a better idea of what we can do for you. every job is taken on an individual basis. thanks for the replies guys! |

the spoiler and hood did it for me. |
Very nice shop..
|
No go for me then, insurance jobs always go first in those types of body shops, not to mention I want someone that has done a whole car in a custom color before. Thanks though!
|
What red hood is that. what is it to?
|
very nice shop guys.
|
looks very nice... when/if i need some paint done i'll definitely be in touch with you first.

here's joe (the painter) finishing up the buffing on the engine cover... http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...aribuffing.jpg subwrxkid, i should have been more clear in my explination. what i should have said is that our shop's bread and butter is our connection with major insurance companies. we have to be careful how many and what kind of overall paintjobs we get into.. especially at this time of year. we're coming into deer season as far as accidents go. that only means we'll be busier with insurance jobs, that's all. since we are a direct repair shop for multiple major insurance companies, that means that we are the only ones in the entire area that thier jobs get sent to and aside from being very meticulous about our quality (which takes a bit of extra time) we also (by contract) cannot push thier work aside for other things that just pop up. what we are able to do though is schedule other work in well ahead of time, so that it's already planned for. we have done many custom color paint jobs before, from start to finish, and many with HOK Kandies. part of what we do is motorcycle paint jobs, which most of them are HOK or Diamont Tri-Coat Candy. We're actually in the process of hiring a painter/body man who i can easily rank among the top 10-15 in the country as far as custom work goes. he's very experienced with HOK as well. your opinion of a shop has to be the deciding factor as far as choosing who does your work, so by all means, if we don't seem like the ones to go with.. that's fine. i just wanted to clarify my explination about what it is we do here and how capable we are to handle whatever you need done. |
Show me some pics of the cars and bikes you sprayed a tri coat kandy on. I know how body shops work, insurance work pays 10x better anyways. In, out, and it's paid before the work is done. What I want to know is, does the custom work just sit there and it will be touched when you have time, or if I brought you a check and said, here, do it, would you devote your time to getting it done?
So you've done a paint job from start to finish? Doors off, trunk jams done, cut into the jams, behind the fenders, car completely stripped type deal? I've had my car painted twice, so I kinda got the feel of what needs to be done. This time, I just want something that pops, so that's why im in need of the kandy. (base, kandy, clear) Do you think I will need the car baking soda blasted? or a 40hr work week dedicated to sanding my car would be cool? :rotfl: Anyways, shoot me a pm. There is ZERO body work that needs to be done, just strip it, paint it, and put it back together. I had all the body work and paint done last October, not to mention the car doesn't really get drivin daily. Let me know. Thanks! |
That shop is Killer! mind if i ask you what air filtration is that in your booth? i have been looking for a devibliss but that one looks way nicer? nice costum work on those tanks too!
subwrxkid go make daddy happy with those fresh coated rims  |

i'm not sure about the brand of filtration actually.. and i'm out of the shop until monday. i can check for you though, just for the hell of it. whatever it is it works great for us.. we've had no water/oil problems and we rarely have to maintain it, it's a great system. |
Do you do custom work like mold aftermarket flares? I have a big project on my 2001 IS300 that I need to get done. Your shop definitely looks impressive. For the right price, i'm serious and can drop my car off as soon as next week.
|
i go by your show when i go into Bally and get to see some of the cars you do , ill have to stop and see you guys could clean up the body work and stick some color on the cavailer
