what to get to replace my car???

getting rid of the mustang due to going back to school and need to have something a little better on gas and maybe even better in the snow...lol (mustang guys knw what i mean)...but now i need to find a replacement for it and i need your guys help because i have been looking around and yet to find anything much that i liked enough to buy...

here are some things that will help narrow it down:
-manual (5 spd or 6 spd)
-under $10k
-better gas mileage
-under 80k miles
-prefer 2 door but open to 4
-prefer newer than 2000
-not counting out hatches but not really thinking of civics
-nice interior that id be comfortable driving around alot in
-good cheap aftermarket...but not looking to do alot becuase that would mainly eliminate the purpose of getting it for better mpg
-performance wise- something decent in stock condition but obviously not expecting anything near even my mustang
-was looking into svt focus' and i am very interested in them...only problem is the only ones you can get for cheap are on forums...and no where near pennsylvania lol

if anyone can please help, i would greatly appreciate it...again, im open to any ideas and hope someone can help me find something worth looking into
thanks

i like the 2.5rs but i remember looking before and not being able to find one in the price range with low enough miles...never looked into the SE-R Spec V and ill take a look now, miata would be good but i need better in snow ughhhhh...mazda 3 is a little toooo underpowered i believe...no offense to rsx owners but they arent really my style

thanks for the list though MPowerKai...very diverse also

For 12K I'll sell you my svt focus. Supercharged and only 42K miles.

alot better now than it was before with the other tails and heads...but in my opinion it still could lose the stripes on the hood...what kind of power and all are you getting after the s/c was put on??

i said thanks and i appreciate the ideas...i like the 2.5rs i said and i already told the guy with the focus i couldnt afford his car but just gave my opinion on the stripes...im not looking for a crazy powered car with amazing mpg and cheap as hell...im just trying to find the best possible car i can for the money i have to spend...i was looking for suggestions and i believe i got some decent ones just not interested in other ones...are you not american?? the terms domestic...and im not looking for domestic specific...i actually was looking to shy away from that but the svt focus happens to be my top choice so far...so far its the best car for the money in my opinion...thank you for your opinion about the 2.5rs but please dont act like im being a stuck up cheap @sshole...im sorry im working on a budget that allows me to pay for my car, insurance and everything else and trying to find somethign a little more reasonable that i will still be comfortable driving
