i have an ati radeon x800 and dell E228WFP, the native res on the monitor is 1680x1050 but i cannot go past 1280 x x

i installed the latest drivers for my video card, any other suggestions?

Scapegoat 09-15-2007 06:12 PM

****ing **** god damnit

any suggestions on what to upgrade to ?

how big is your monitor? go on newegg.com and compare vid cards and look at all of their max resolutions, I'd give my two cents but everyone thinks differently. I'm running 1680x1050 on my 20" widescreen and its perfect. If you didn't have at least a 20" monitor I'd say its not worth the upgrade

currently my computer is dual 2.8ghz p4's, 2gb of ram and i have a 22" widescreen dell LCD. it runs 1680x1050 native res but my video card can't handle that. i primarily use my computer for gaming but i don't play any new games, just warcraft 3 which isn't really something that requires a beefy video card. any suggestions?

if you don't need it... why get it?

Intercooled T 09-15-2007 07:23 PM

I love my ATi x1650....dude, just look on newegg.com and compare the prices and max resolutions, if all your looking for is something close to what you have now with more rez, you should have no problem

Intercooled T 09-15-2007 07:25 PM

Look at what I'm running:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814195031

Max Resolution 2560 x 1600

drew 09-15-2007 07:31 PM

Intercooled T 09-15-2007 07:32 PM

drew 09-15-2007 07:33 PM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102075

I find it very odd that a x800 can't support a higher res than 1280x1024.
