Official 2007 NFL Season Thread

So tonight was the first regular season game. So let's have an official football season thread so there isn't 15+ other smaller threads.

What's your thoughts on the game right now?

The Saints are getting trounced... :P

I hope McNabb trips on the carpet again this year! As long as the Eagles don't win a championship Im happy.

GO (insert any other team than the eagles) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Niners may surprise quite a few people this year.

Pretty much, I bleed green.. but I respect opinions.

Anyway, as usual I'm a firm believer that once again the AFC is dominant. I think the Eagles, Cowboys, and Saints are the best NFC teams... and they worry me. -sigh- I hope an NFC team can bring it home this year.

I dont think there is any chance whatsoever of an NFC winning the big one. The most interesting thing for the NFC this season will be the progression of the NFC West (49er's, Cardinals, Rams, and Seahawks).

I really think that SanFran will suprise people this year, as well as the Cards improving as well. Both teams have great talent that should be starting to blossom. If Bulger can stay healthy, then the Rams will have a decent season as well.

These days the NFC playing the AFC is like college vs. the pros. But confrences always tend to flip-flop in power every 5-10 yrs.

Thats why i dont get upset when my team (the Steelers) doesnt have great seasons year after year.....the AFC is STACKED!

IMO thats why the Eagles look to be better then they really are. The actual good teams they have to face are few and far between. The Eagles would get slaughtered if they played an AFC heavy schedule.

Just my .02

I will have to agree with Sesol. I have been a Niners fan since Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. I believe that they still have a ways to go before making it to and taking the Super Bowl, but they are well on their way. Not to mention, I do kinda like being the underdog.

No superbowl hangover for the colts!

Here are my thoughts on that game:

I wish I had Peyton on my FF team.

I'm glad I have Reggie Wayne.

WOW is that the truth! Indy looking unstopable. As far as the rest of the afc good luck cause this is who you'll be playing in the afc championship game and to whoever makes from the nfc to the big game.....this will be them after the superbowl

I may be following Tampa Bay and Garcia a little bit this year since he did such an awesome job in Philly... I'm actually rooting for him to win the Superbowl

Well its going to be awesome watching the eagles for real this sunday. I wait all freaking year for this sunday. The packers will be a little better than everyone expects them to, but we will still win. SGMsubI says Eagles-27, Packers 13

I've gotta say that the Eagles do have a very good shot at taking the division this year. I think that their main competion will be the Cowboys. They have a fairly easy schedule this year, so i'm not worried about that. If there is one thing that will hold them back its the injury factor and the lack of depth. Mcnabb and kearse are coming off of ACL tears, dawkins pulled a muscle in camp (but he should be ok), spikes is injury prone. they got rid of trotter and garcia which i highly disagreed with both of those moves. I am a huge eagles fan so i'll definately be pulling for them this year.
