Ikea Meet True?
 

i have been here about this meet for like a month now. I really don't know when it is. My buddy told me that its a 240sx meet but very will done (whatever that means). i heard something about the 240 guys that use to be at Fraklin mills moved to the south philly ikea and are really putting on a show...anyone have info.

you gotta talk to reese he is the one that holds those meets in ikea. i've beeen to the meet before and i liked it alot because everyone behaves and at the end they of some drifting fun....it on saturdays and i work late so i really can't make it that often:thumbup:

you heard right my name is will, jdmwill.Reese and myself organised these meets every weekend for the past two month.the meets are not just for 240's.it kind of started that way but it has grown towards a different type of monster.we are not street racers by anyway and we do not encourage street racing.we are drifters and jdm culture enthusiast. we are also sponsored by local business to hold these meet in a very controlled environment.
we have very strick rules in these meets and they're design to keep everybody safe.
THE RULES:1.) no loud stereo"i will embarrass you in front of everybody":
2.)no donuts,no burn outs,no reving your engine,no flyby's in the lot,no fighting,no drinking,no weed,
all of these will force me to kick you out personally and im not scared to do so.
3.)no littering,if i see any trash sitting next to your car i'll tell you dump it in the trash.if i have to tell you a second time i won't,i'm going to dump it in your car.
4.)if the authority shows up stay were you at.let Reese and myself talk to the officers "remeber they're there to protect us not harass us.if i hear anybody talking sh** to the cops pray to god i don't find out.your not just acting up but ruining the meet for everybody else.
5.)have fun,talk to everybody,swap phone numbers,help each other with their cars, make friends.this is what the meets are for.
keep the rice at home people.im puerto rican the only rice i like is with beans.
P.s.people there is "no" drifting after the meets;-)just tires that miraculously get destroyed or blow up.

for the most part it did start as a 240sx meet then a did grow and more then i thought it will. As long as you are calm at the meet then everything should be cool. i never thought the meet would actually last this long especially since 1st it a WEEKLY 240sx meet and 2nd its in South Philly. People that know about the meet know we have fun and as long as it never gets out of hand we should be fine......oh and if you don't like the SPORT of DRIFTING don't come to the meet DUH....i rarely go to a EVO SUBY meet anymore..why? BECAUSE IF YOU NEED AWD TO BEAT ME THEN I GUESS YOU REALLY NEEDED THAT EXTRA 2 WHEEL HANDICAP....... J/K J/K J/K :mrgreen:

were is this meet located at?...i actually roll with a pretty cool crew from nj called 666....we like to go to new meets and make new friends...the rules will not be broken by any one we bring...trust me. but yea give me some more details if u can dude..thanks

I think I'll have to come down to one of these. Were you guys at the KOP meet on Tues? I think I was talking to a few of you with my roommate Shawn. PM me some directions. I'll also be at teh Formula D this weekend but maybe some other week. I'll probably be roaming between the RT booth and the DA Booth.

Yo the meet was hot i loved it it was soo organized. there was alot of diiferent cars there but there was a big impact of 240sx's. I met Reese and Chelesea really cool guys. I found out the Chelesea is part of the DRIFT BRIGADE and Reese does some demos with them on the side. I pretty sure that I saw Jdmwill in his AE86. Never thought Drifting would hit Philly like this but Reese told me his goal was to make it big and i guess him and his crew are really doing it...

LOL...highlight of the night was the biker that tried to do a stunt and fell flat on his ass...lmao...

well see you guys soon thanks for a great show...got to go back to College so maybe later in NOV. i'll be back

My 240 should be on the road within a month or so. I'll be sure to swing by at least once soon after.

its good to hear you had a good time.yeah the bike stunt was pretty funny.he made his whole bike crew look like amateurs.lol.i was the fat guy walking next to Reese just before the bike dudes showed up.hopefuly you could comeout again and next time say hi.

This meet sounds VERY organized and I look forward to comming out sometime. Do you plan on continuing it or is there a cutoff date because of colder months comming?

I worked for ford for a couple years and the zx2 always had a place in my heart.i bought one with a blown engine and quickly replace it.it was a great daily driver.
as for the 240 "very nice" inner fender work.im looking forward to seeing it in person.
the meets are going to end soon for a winter break.
