Looking for some info about an EVO?
 

There is a Silver 2003 Evo at Gilboy in the Lehigh Valley. It is tinted with stock painted wheels. It has an exhaust with no cat on it. The only other modification I see is the an aftermarket intake.

The sales person said that a girl bought it for her boyfriend, the boyfriend took it and left. Once the girl got it back she traded it for a jetta.

Does anyone know who owned this. I would love to speak to him about how it was treated. Anyone know any info?

I may have written the vin down incorrectly. The car looks driven not beat. That is why I am asking to see if anyone knows who owned it. More specifically I want to meet the girl that bought her boy a car.

Nahh if I were to sell the Tib it would not be for this.

I drive by it eryday, its like 2 seconds from my house. I swear its a friend of mine's, buddys car, but I could be wrong. He had painted wheels, then bought new ones, so maybe he put them back on? I always seen him around, and ever since that evos been sitting there, I havent seen him, so Im like 99% sure its his.

If that's it, then there's 15 records on carfax. If I had this last night I could have checked it for you. My 3 month carfax thing expired this morning. Sorry.

That sucks well thanks for checking for me. That may be it, the writing is horrible. Actually this is for a co-worker. I said I would check around to see how beat the car is. It has like 53K on it and they want 20K for it. With the check engine light on (no cat) and the worn rear brakes (?) he is going to go real low. Well if anyone can find anymore info out that would be great.

An 03 evo is risky because it's basically a very new DSM that's 99% of the time been beaten to hell and back.

yo take it from me. Never Buy an Evo Through a Dealership unless its brand new. it Will be great for a few weeks and later down the road, alot of problems will go wrong. Cause you dont know if the Car has been Launched/ TC Problems / Tranny Problems/ boging problems/ other mods that have been on the car/ and so on.

agreed. in this culture sometimes u are WAY better off buying stock/brand new. nothing wrong with starting fresh :thumbup:

i mean my car is used but only 27.7k miles and BONE STOCK. it feels new enough to me. :mrgreen:
