Feeler: Poss Fire House Carshow
 

Ok here is an idea, for those who do not know me my name is john, u may have seen me or my gray jetta with my flashing blue light at some events if that will help u remember. I am a member at cardington stonehurst fire dept in Upper Darby. as an attempt to try and help raise money for my dept to loosen the tight grip on our budget i am try to see who would be interested or how many people would be willing to show at a car show that i am trying to put together. the event if there is enough interest would be held eigther at the fire dept or at upper darby high school sometime in the month of may or june of 2008. the cost to show ur car would be between 10-15 dollars , which that is a choice my cheif would have to make, and it would prob be on a weekend. If u think u would be interested in helping a fire department out and many may say but its true its for a good cause please post, and also if u have any ideas that may be usefull or enhance the way the carshow can go post them. im trying to may this idea come to life so tell me how u guys and girls feel

i personally would like to but im afraid that if im too short of notice people may not show and im trying to have as big of an event as possible so dropin this on people last minute might not work, and i still have to talk to people from the township to get the ok to use the school. thank u for showin intrest i appreciate it, see if u can spread the word and get people to post

I think with planning something that far ahead you might have a problem with throwing something that is on the same day as another big event. I would definetly look at the schedules of the racetracks and other sources to see when there big shows are held. I would keep it open to all makes, models of cars/trucks and bikes.

the idea of all makes and models cars/trucks/bikes is what i was thinking but at the same time u do bring up a good point, do you know of anything big goin on in may or june?

I don't know man. I think if you look at the current schedules you might get a decent idea of timing the event.

im 100% for this, i think it could be a great turnout. Ill post on more than one forum.

i'm in 100% but june of 08? holy ****! how about a fall date? like october, not to far, not to soon

well look at it this way drew we have to find atleast one or two vendors and see about donations i.e food drinks, and poss items to raffle off, to try to plan something like this that has to be organized correctly there is no way it would happen in two months

well like i told you last night greek, we need to get the powers together and try getting this together.... we have been planning meets for the past couple years with semi sucess now to do it big like a fully planned out car show is gonna take some time. but i think we got this one in the bag

dude greek, i don't care what kind of nasty things you have to do but get coccos to sponsor it and you know my tubby ass will be the first one their for some pizza

ill have to see drew i still have to as kev said "pull the powers" together and i still have to go talk to the superintendent of upper darby to get the ok, this is just a feeler to see how much intrest and suppoert there is and so far it good for only bein up for 12hrs on the forum,

im on drews computer but i appreciate all the support, i have to clear using the lot with the upper darby school district first once that is out of the way we are game
