MMM.... Bassani = Sex..... I wanted to get either a full Bassani or Kooks set up for my WS6, but didn't have the cash.

im not trying to sound like a noob but whats with the X-pipe? why not just have two pipes that dont meet?

redg2 08-11-2007 06:44 PM

the x-pipe is like a cross pipe on a straight through dual exhaust, i think they use em because it is said that gives you a lil more tg.......some one correct me if im wrong

It deals with the flow of the exhaust/gases. It allows a better, more even flow and increases performance.

It also equalizes the pressure between the different sizes which makes it more efficient or something...

Very nice, 05GT did you go to NMRA today? it was a good time lots of fast cars

05GT 08-11-2007 08:48 PM

Nah couldn't make it. If I was there, I was going to be in the car show for free because Kevin @ Wicked Motorsports and the ECS gang (East Coast Stang) I'm a close memeber of had the opportunity to run/handle the car show there, and anyone part of it could enter the car for free. But I couldn't get off in time to make it.

What cat back are you running?

ThePrimerSuspect 08-12-2007 12:08 AM

is it still slow?:rotfl:

SovXietday 08-12-2007 12:19 AM

Do you need to get tuned again with these on there or does the stock engine management suffice?

The engine management should be enough.

And awd4g63, I have a Borla catback.

Correct. Proper exhaust gas scavenging helps the gases exit the combustion chamber more easily, resulting in more power, typically torque. Exhaust diameter also plays a role in this, especially in lower displacement cars.

Hmm...well the xpipe is installed....big sound difference...I'm waiting to see if the CEL is going to come on lol. Doesn't matter. I'm getting it tuned and some other goodies in a week or less. Whoo hoo.
