No, its not just a post with a huge gem on it, thats actually the size of my ear lol. 5/8ths of an inch. only 3 sizes away from 1 inch.

I gauge my ears as well, but I've never had bigger than a 2g and I had them out for a year and I can still fit 10g with no problem at all. Your ears are NEVER going to be normal again. I'm sure you don't care now but you will some day.
