I just got this in the mail today had no idea in the world what it was, then google'd it Read up on it on Wik,
Well it says it's to be filled out and used in case of a draft was ever to be re enstated or some ****... IM ****ING OUTRAGED no offence to those of you whove chosen to join the military at all my biggest respects to all of you BUT I do not belive in any way in hell should you be forced to join Fck the current prez
no offence but i dont trust my life in his hands or politics for that matter at all!
Theres no way in hell im sending this in until I get myself a medical/mental excuse which wont be too hard considering i know a few docs/psycs

Now, name the last time we had a draft...

Every male has to fill one of these out when they turn 18. Its law. You get arrested and fined big time to not filling it out. If you're not willing to fight for our country in the event of a MAJOR crisis... then.... **** off

Then IF there is ever a draft, a big huge futher mucking IF. You tell them you are a consientious objector. Problem solved.

I'm not a fighter either... but I sure as hell would have went to war against the Germans in WW2 if I was drafted. It has nothing to about being a fighter, or a pacifist. Its about ensuring that the military has the personel to adequately protect OUR country.

There hasn't been a draft in decades. Military enlistment is doing...ok at this point. But there isn't any serious issues that will require the mobilization of hundreds of thousands of civilians to protect us.

We have a ton of protectiog from technology. Anti-missile weapons keeping nukes miles upon miles away from our borders, and we have the range and ability to accuratly drop a bomb anywhere on Earth.

Theres no reason to get upset if you actually think about it...

id join if things were bad but i dont think theyre that bad or have been for a long ass time, didnt they draft ppl not too long ago or was that people who were in the reserves? sorry i forget and i thought they did and its basicly why i dont want to

if there was a draft, you would know about it... because people would be talking about it all the time... all theyve done to this point is call up reserves. and get more people killed.

Just because you don't see a big giant threat coming to america doesn't mean bull-donkey really. The draft is there just in case.

The draft is an old idea and most likely will never be used unless we're looking at WW3, which in that case that'd be a world changing war... possibly a world ending war. I'd rather go out fighting than hiding in my basement waiting for China, Korea, Russia and any middle eastern country to nuke my ass.

If you get drafted... just assume there won't be many habitable places left on earth once all is said and done ;)

IIRC by nothing filling out that form you'll never be able to recieve any kind of student loan or anything offered by the state/country. Have fun with that one buddy.

If there were a draft, I would have no problem doing what needs to be done. However, I'm too much of a pussy to currently just volunteer, mainly because the numbers are doing just fine and I don't NEED to volunteer (plus I really like my job and entire life as it is). Thankfully, there are people NOT like me who dedicate their time (and lives) to this country.

With that said, there won't be a draft.
