Rip Ej8 :(

Today on Elephant rd and 113 someone ran a stop sign and plowed into the passenger corner of my coupe. Bumper is gone, my lip was thrown 50 feet down the street, headlight doesn't even exist, frame rail is bent a good foot in, windsheild was smashed and I got a face full of airbags. I'm almost positive that it's going to be totalled out.

I'm fine, the driver of the other car admitted full responsibility to the cops, and the engine/trans/turbo setup seem to be ok.

Just really ****ing pissed right now...

turbo4g63 07-12-2007 11:56 PM

NOOOOOOOOO...your civic was seriously one of the only civics i actually liked on here. are you going to be able to at least strip all the parts off the car?

glad to hear you are ok though

Ion22 07-13-2007 12:10 AM

Nors 07-13-2007 12:14 AM

Damn clean car, good luck with everything.

james_ls 07-13-2007 12:20 AM

Jay Raguz actually JUST told me about this...

...Sorry to hear dude...at least you walked away.

SovXietday 07-13-2007 12:44 AM

Thanks guys, I'm glad I'm ok too.

I'm thinking they're just going to total it and let me buy it back and then I'll strip it down and move the setup into another car then sell all the parts I don't need. I have to see what the insurance company will give me for the car though.

Kind of looking for a champ white 99-00 coupe, or just get exactly what I have now and swap everything back in and go from there.

Really sucks but it will work out for the best I'm sure, thanks again guys! Pics will be here tomorrow.

jrtcbmw 07-13-2007 12:51 AM

The most important thing is you are ok, the car is just a car, it can be replaced.

can wait to see what you have up your sleeves for your next project. It can only be better than before.

Sberk06 07-13-2007 02:43 AM

if they do end up totalling it out, buy that 99 si blue civic for 8k obo and throw everything into that.

like everyone said, good to see your ok, and we'll hope for the best with getting the car back (not totalled hopefully)

Damn that is pretty clean. However I'm an EK guy, EGs really just aren't my thing. Find me a stock EK hatch/coupe with no rust and I'm all ears. :)

Car was totalled out today. I got 5800 for it, and the buy back is going to be 580. I guess 10% of what it's worth is the buy back? Who knows, but I'm still getting a good chunk of cash back for it.

And of course the carnage pics. Bent the frame rail all sorts of ****ed up ways, forced the entire front of the car to shift about an inch over to the driver side, smashed the windsheild, airbags went off, it even creased the roof on the car. Only thing I lost aftermarket wise was the cold side IC piping, wheel and suspension don't seem to have a scratch.

jrtcbmw 07-13-2007 07:02 PM

is it still down at your dads work? did you start taking it apart?

that hurts to see, you were just getting it done. at least you get a good chunk of change for your next project.

jc8889 07-13-2007 07:03 PM

Not sure about the one, there is no physical damage that I can see but I have to throw it on the balance wheels and find out. The suspension survived which is much more expensive than a Rota with a blad tire.
