A wideband UEGO sensor controller accurately monitors Air/Fuel ratios (AFR) during the tuning process to prevent a lean fuel mixture, which could lead to engine damage. AEM has combined its single-channel wideband UEGO controller and gauge display into one unit, uniting unsurpassed AFR accuracy and control with an easy-to-read interface. AEM’s Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller features a digital LED display and sweeping LED “needle” that changes colors as AFR changes from rich to lean. The unit’s 52mm (2-1/16”) gauge housing fits in most gauge pods and can be remotely mounted virtually anywhere.

Pretty stoked on using this and tuning my car with the greddy emanage thats in it already.. should be a good learning experience

I really like that gauge... the digital number and needle display, especially that it changes colors, is really nice.

Does that come with the cable that can plug into the back of a computer (like an ethernet cable?) Asking because I was looking at them and don't know how you can log with that UEGO without AEM EMS.

there is an output on the newer model, also it reads 10-19 rather then 11-17 for the AF.

I'm not logging this guage, im using the readings to adjust my AF on my emanage, not with a cable but with my eyes lol.

Good luck, get a friend to ride along to watch your A/F's and RPM's at the same time for you while you are going down the road. Trying to watch the gauge, tach and the road while driving is not easy. You will understand when you start out. The numbers seems like they are just flying by real fast. Is there a way to log the signal on your Emanage? You should be able to use the Linear or Narrowband output on the gauge if it has them. I'm not to familiar with that gauge, I'm running a PLX unit.

What Emanage do you have?

Yea it has a 0-1v and also a 0-5v output on the uego's.

The blue wire is used for serial logging to a USB, if you look through the manual it gives details on the 2 wires you need to splice to a connector you can purchase at radio-shack. Dont try to log with your eyes it can't keep up.

I purchased Evoscan and I plan to log with that, find out if the rx-8 has a program to log with as I am sure they have one

nopistons94 06-07-2007 11:05 PM

yea, I've read that it's possible with the emanage, I have the blue box original. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but I won't be personally driving it. I'll be along for the ride getting numbers
