TROLL 06-01-2007 05:54 PM

congrats, sounds like fun as long as you dont have any major commitments here. does it make more sense to bring your evo there or just buy one when you get there? you could get a 7 there, or a 6 or a 5. mmmmm.

Its a good idea but I can't sell I would get raped with all the parts I bought, I will buy a play car while I am their and keep the Evo pristine as I have big plans for it while I am their. I can keep it and buy exterior parts for alot less money as it is the norm their for what I am looking for. I will be in the market for a GTS-T as soon as I get their.

redg2 06-01-2007 06:01 PM

Nice...Good Luck with everything...Are you gonna have to make any cosmetic changes to the Evo before you drive it?? Make sure you have a decent video camera to show us what the Audobon Is like!!!

den9 06-01-2007 07:16 PM

Silverfc88 06-01-2007 07:54 PM

WHAT! Damn going to miss you man! I can't believe you got orders. Hows the girl taking it? Was it on your dream sheet?

I haven't been to K-town in a long time, we used to take trips up there because they had huge skating rink and BX/Commissary. (When I was in middle school)

Edit: Hey are you going to have some **** to get rid off?

OMGz Turbo 06-01-2007 11:19 PM

a buddy of mine was stationed there. He loved it

Vypurr 06-01-2007 11:38 PM

Wait till you see what gas costs there...lol

james_ls 06-02-2007 09:02 AM

From what I've heard from people who are already there...everyones enjoyed it.

Nice area...but what Vypurr was saying...their fuel costs are STUPID!!

Hope the best for you and can't wait to see little updates as the time goes past.

Renegade_ 06-02-2007 10:59 AM

Kaiserslautern! One of the cities I grew up in!

From k-town you are fairly close to the ring and could drive there in about 40 minutes I believe, if not a tad more. (then again that depends how fast you want to drive on the autobahn, you could get there in 20 if you want....)

Gotta fill up on Base and get vouchers if you travel. It won't be to bad, we get COLA "Cost of living allowance" as I will be living downtown. I need to check the exact number but it is close to an extra 10-12K per year.

LOL
I just left Ktown about three weeks ago. I was on a tour with the 569th US Forces Police Squadron at Vogelweh AB which is 2 minutes (if that) from Ramstein. We worked with locals and Polzei (Germany cops) on a regular basis. Tell me what kind of info you need and whats your AFSC.

Screw BK and McDonalds! Doner Kebabs will own you. Anyone who has been lived in Europe before will agree.

I saw a million of them in Ktown when I was there. American military people prolly own like 90% of the Skylines in Germany.
