good pic. do you have a lense hood? itll take a lot of it away. and maybe try a smaller aperature to get a slight star effect? either cool pic. im dying to go down town and get some shots.

Nice pic, i'm always a fan of city pictures at night. I'm too scared to go down there by myself at night with my camera gear. My suburban white boy ass will get jacked, ya heard?!

Hell yeah, i'm down. Shoot me a pm if you feel like going down sometime.

den9 05-30-2007 09:18 PM

i think i was using a f/5.6 or something, alot of books i read start at 8-11, i really flares the hell up. i wonder if i can get a hood for the 18-70 lens?

down center city theres nothin really to be scared of, lots of cops and people, lots of bums and crazy ppl talkin to themselves, when ever i see someone walkin past me i always get up, im afraid of lookin thru the view finder when some1 walks by becuz i think they r gonna come up and jack me. i usually just go with a friend anyway its alot more fun.

jspek 05-31-2007 03:29 AM

i think the nikon hood number is hb-32.

I go down from time to time no one really bothers you. I worry more about the car getting hit then me getting beat up or other wise.

To me its boring. There really isn't a subject. The colors look ok but besides that the composure leaves alot to be desired. Maybe take a picture from where those trees are in front to get out alot of the clutter. Just trying to help.

den9 06-01-2007 07:12 PM

if i went to the trees there would be more clutter, and id have to find something else to take a picture of, since them trees are like 50 yards away, i was just tryin to capture as much city scape in the picture and make it look cool, how could i make the colors better?

S4toSTI 06-01-2007 08:01 PM

If you shot in raw white balance separately for the buildings and the foreground and blend the two.

den9 06-01-2007 10:20 PM

i wouldnt know what to do to make the foreground different, settings wise

TROLL 06-01-2007 10:35 PM

i think you used what you had in front of you well, and i think the white balance is fine too. making it more interesting could be getting some sort of subject in the foreground possible, but other than that i guess it is what it is. its not easy to shoot buildings in the city from within the city, so this is as good a location as any for it.

den9 06-02-2007 08:07 PM

the white balance was set to the pre mode, where u have to take a sample pic then it adjusts to the scene. i didnt photoshop it at all except for cropping.

i wish i lived in a condo down there, that would make for some good shots

BoM 06-21-2007 01:32 AM

throw a car on top of them steps and its an awesome shot.

den9 07-02-2007 05:28 PM

getting a car on them steps would be entertaining, then getting arrested would be even better
