Thoughts on the new Linkin Park cd.
 

Alright so i just bought the new Linkin Park cd and I must say, its very different. I really like a few of the songs, but some of it just seems to slow for them. I just don't think they can ever make cds better then Hybrid theory or Meteora, they're classics now. But all in all its not bad.
PS- the limited edition case is sweet.

Im not sure how I feel I just think they need to go back to the sound of the first cd that CD is still there best CD by far!

yeah i agree. dont get me wrong, i like the new cd. but its not something im still gonna be listening to 3 years from now.

it pisses me off when bands go from hard and adrenaline pumping to emo and slow

dude honestly i thought i was one of the biggest LP fans of all time but apparently not. I personally think their new cd SUCKS. with the exception of the one song which of course i cant remember the name (the one which starts clapping and shinoda raps) i think the cds is horrible, its too different and i loved the hard lp. Now the odd part was to throw people off they released a few of the tracks that didnt make it on bittorents (disclaimer for govt: i dont download) and those songs are actually great! so i dont know why they finalized the ehhh songs and didnt realease the great songs which are more liek them. Just my 2 cents.

Yea I heard they did a whole bunch of tracks and only picked a select few. They probably had a whole CD worth of good hard tracks but gave it up for this. First CD rocked I like Reanimation also because i like remix stuff alot. Meteroa was good but thats when they started to drop and then this cd is just disappointing to say the least. Bands need to stop as they all say Maturing no one wants you to mature.

Well, I have been listening to them talk about the CD all weekend on Sirius, and they have said over and over that the "fans" will get thier new stuff. I think that is an excuss to release stuff that they think is cool, but that a lot of the masses won't like.

i like about 2 songs but i've been in the process of trying to make myself like the whole cd. i used to be a huge fan, im hoping this cd isn't what makes me not like them anymore. i mean i guess the reasoning behind the songs is alright, but scream more damnit.

i agree but the songs they did make that got cut that someone COULD download on liek bittorrent are sooooo much bettera nbd are like the old LP so it jus confuses me

It's all right, there are about three songs I like but to me thats not enough.

oh well. i would have kicked myself for buying it, but the limited edition case kicks ass.
