Pocono PDX june 15-16
 

just a lil feeler ....

tri region is hosting a performance driving experience at pocono raceway on june 15-th its a fri-sat. basically they rented the track and u can spend a lil (ok, a lot) of money to race on it. we will be racing on the long course, which is basically the 2.5 mile road course which includes two of the three stretches, a small chicane on the second stretch and a road course in the infield to connect the two straights......

its kinda like a peformance driving school, its a split of class sessions and then race session where small groups will go off in large time gaps and u and an instructor will tear thru the pocono road course. ur basically gonna learn how to drive.....FAST. i dont kno about any of you, but even in my slow rx8 i am gonna be easily standing in the triple digit speeds....just imagine the fast cars that will be there! u can register on myautoevents.com and see the entry list....its fillin up somewhat quick so decide....somewhat quickererer

you will be on the pocono racetrack.....the only catch is the price may be a lil steep, its 275 for one day or 450 for both. both days is the better deal, but i dont kno about u, but i cant justify drivin 3 hrs each way and spend 450 for anything.....

here are some links, i dont kno if anyone would be interested in goin to this bc its a pretty big committment, but its worth a shot.....ive been waitin a full year to take my car onto a real road course and this is my/your chance to actually do it. how many kids our age can say they raced on a real road course?

Haha i just posted something about upcoming HPDEs at pocono.

I'll be signing up tomorrow. My 240 is in no shape to be doing anywhere near 70+. If i get the suspension settled in time do you think i would be able to change cars, if i sign up my Eclipse?

im going... sending my money in ASAP.

I should be there both of the first 2 Saturdays in June. They just had a PDA weekend last weekend as well.

ill be there on the 16th sent my money in like 3 months ago lol

I am going to go too. This can be my birthday present, w000t.

I drove this two years ago.

Although not technical, Long course configuration is by far the best value for dollar spent. Well worth it for the novice driver and/or folks with big HP and heavy right foot.

to anyone that i personally know:

i have a cabin off of Lake Naomi which is less than 10 miles from the track. let me know if you need a place to stay.

i do i do. and we have to partay...

sorry no partying... we can have some beers but i dont get down at partying where i have to fix **** if it breaks.

sounds good... i guess closer to the date we can make plans or whatever. my buddy john (jet02wrx) wants to bring his video cam ... which would own... and he might stay at my place as well...

ill have my video cam, def want some track footage.

i think im going to buy one of the AndrewSS cam mounts and a cheap cam.

Not only that, but you can't show up for a pde with a hang over, or worse, still drunk from the night before. It's a pretty grueling day out on the track, also I doubt they'd even let you participate.
