4/15 Philly SCCA AutoX - Warminster Park

Pre-reg just opened up for Philly's first summer event of the year. They are only accepting 180 pre-reg's, and no walk ups. So better jump on this if your going.

Nope, gotta pay ahead. I am thrilled about pre-reg only actually. The size of the group near the end of the season was just out of hand already. Almost wasn't worth the time I had to drive. Getting out of an event after dark, and even running in the dark is just un-acceptable.

Wanna play, gotta pay ahead.

soooooooo true man. i better go pay then....im not a scca member tho so i kno i gotta keep payin the 40 bucks but, that site is weird, they make me register to the site b4 payin?

whatever i registered and paid my 40 bucks.....see u all there, ill be SM class, least i was last year........

Charged SVTF 04-08-2007 02:21 PM

Ok guys, be honest with me. My Focus would be in SM correct since its supercharged. Now how bad will I be ****ed with for running ****ty times in SM cause my car is stock suspension, tires, brakes, and is in no shape going to be able to compete in a class that anything goes. I am totally outgunned.

So here is the question. Is it better to try and have fun, or get burnt in the fire? I just dont want to be pissing anyone off cause everyone else is 5 seconds quicker through the coarse lol.

Hahah yea MAE makes you register with them first. Then next event we should be registering on DLBRacing.net or .com something. So we will need to register on there then hahah.

Depending how many events you attend, you may be better off getting the membership from SCCA.

SM is gonna be tough this weekend. Just try to have fun. Here is my good buddy Chris Janusz's car, he'll be there with his 88 Civic, and also Alan Kuglar will be running SM as well in his EG hatch.

charge svt id just worry about not goin off course, its more fun when u dont look stupid and finish with a slo time than finish sideways takin out 4 cones in the process and makin us all stop the runs

how much is the membership? i plan on goin to about 5-8 events

edit: if it rains im screwed that wont be fun at all

Membership for a year is $80 including region dues. Which is 80 bucks of savings for you then throughout the year hahah.

NOPSTNS 04-08-2007 02:49 PM

but its only 10 bucks cheaper each race, so id have to go to 8 MORE events to balance off the reg fee, plus the fact that im still payin 30 a piece, it wont break eevn for me. im still payin off the credit card from these brakes and tires......

92dxman 04-08-2007 06:43 PM

SM is a free for all/run what ya brought in a sense. Both of the previously mentioned Civics are very fast and have strong FTD potential. Also, Boost altered Evos and M3's come to play in SM. Is Pre-reg & pay going to be for the entire season? This might be a good change...

Damn work! I am going to miss this! I have been waiting all winter too!

piknockout 04-09-2007 03:42 PM

There's also a certain turboed SR20DE B15 that FINALLY picked up some r-compounds. Talk about a difference in grip. *cough* psushoe *cough*

I'm glad they moved to only pre-registered. Things definitely got out of hand last year. Driving 2.5 hours to only get 3 runs really sucked. Of course it was still fun. :)

Unfortunately I won't be running Philly Region this year. Due to moving to Columbia, MD last year, I'll be running D.C. region and Autocrosser's Inc. I may make a few events just for fun though.

Speaking of which, Autocrosser's Inc. is having an event this Sunday also down at Ripken Stadium if Warminster is too far of a drive for anyone.

TTsupra911 04-09-2007 03:46 PM

<--- contomplating skipping out on the big westchester meet to auto-x this weekend.... If I would go though I'd probably drop on down to Ripkin, it's slightly closer to home, not to mention I just like Ripkin

psushoe 04-09-2007 04:49 PM

I'll be there with the new r-comps, as Josh mentioned. SM has some steep competition. I'm hoping to make the climb this year with suspension upgrades and the new stickies. As for the beastly civic, I though Chris registered it in PRO?

NOPSTNS 04-09-2007 06:48 PM

yeah im that stiff competition that he mentioned, jk, i suck, but im in SM as well, see ya there dude

TTsupra911 04-09-2007 08:32 PM

hmm how are those R-Compounds treating you Aaron? Looking forward to getting out and auto-xing again this year, but the more and more I look at it my first event won't be until May
