Sway Bars?

Whiteline or Perrin? What is your opinion, or what have you heard about each?

Renegade_ 04-07-2007 11:58 AM

With your color setup? Red perrin bars would be sweet

CarbonIS 04-07-2007 12:10 PM

this is true.

RyanG 04-07-2007 12:33 PM

Perrin= over priced.
Whiteline= rusty but great :)

you make the choice :)

TROLL 04-07-2007 01:24 PM

ha not overpriced when i have one sitting in my garage. and from what i've seen they're pretty on par with other manufacturers?
want to see a brand new one installed? my car is gonna be on jackstands for another few hours with a pretty new red perrin rsb

D Money 04-07-2007 01:38 PM

why are you putting new sway bars on? What was wrong with your old ones?

I have cusco ones that I need to install.

WKderF 04-07-2007 01:59 PM

id say perrin.

red swaybars FTW.

Honest_Bob 04-07-2007 03:17 PM

I personally dont like Perrin products in general. Overpriced junk. Whiteline!!!!

TROLL 04-07-2007 04:10 PM

i dig perrin suspension products a lot, and their turbo kits. their silicone hoses are meh.

Orbit 04-07-2007 04:21 PM

i have allot of perrin stuff and i like everything but the inlet hose.. I like the cobb hollow bars, but are a bit expensive.

jimtweet 04-07-2007 07:47 PM

IPD,....absolutly awesome, mounts, end links, bushings....mmmmmmm

highmilehatch 04-09-2007 02:10 AM

Just installed a set of Hotchkis, if your looking for more options.

CHAOS 04-09-2007 06:47 AM

if you are basing it on color get the perrin... or paint some other ones haha... what are your goals?

CarbonIS 04-09-2007 09:26 AM

well i had hotchkis on the IS and the difference between having sways and not
having sways is unbelievable. The STI handles amazing now with the coilovers,
but there is still a tinge of body roll that I'd like to eliminate with sways and
strut tower braces.

S4toSTI 04-09-2007 10:24 AM

I say perrin as well but i wouldn't worry about the color who cares its under your car... oh wait thats just how i think.

wrxman60 04-09-2007 11:03 AM

i just got a perrin rear sway, made such a big difference, id also go with them because you get new stronger mounts, which are also a plus

TROLL 04-09-2007 11:18 AM

whorin out my new pics...

brand new perrin 22mm rear swaybar for sti with heavy duty mounts

and sti complete rear end :)

CHAOS 04-09-2007 11:19 AM

side question: is the 25mm perrin sway streetable? or is it meant for being far more aggressive?

CarbonIS 04-09-2007 11:43 AM

could the difference actually be that huge between the 22mm and the 25mm that the 25mm is not streetable?

CHAOS 04-09-2007 11:51 AM

on the mx6's/probes... a 19mm was great and the 22 was enough to make the ass end swing around on dry pavement.
