exhaust tip question
is it true that if u take a blowtorch n heat up the tip it will turn a bluish color n stay that way like thishttp://www.tanabe-usa.com/images/Exh...nceptGBlue.jpg
Yes.
But you'd have to do it from the inner edge. |
y inner edge
Cause the direct heat and scorch marks you will make are nearly impossible to clean off.

Bump to see how this one worked...
subscribed... either this is going to look good or be a mess.
you can but it might start to look crappy after a while and its hard to remove the burns after its on.. its possible to remove it but you will scratch the tip to hell
before i go n try it has any1 done it before
That does look sweet. I've only see them on Turbo'd vehicles though.
Instresting, I would deffinitly recommend that you take the exhaust off the car if you werent planning on doing so. hmmm... wonder how that would look on a greddy sp2...
i was going to take the axelback off to do it, i wouldnt wanna risk ****ing my bumper up
i recomend you not doing it to an exhaust you really like. a buddy of mine is a welder and he told me that i'll eventually hate it becuase i was considering doing it. theres also a chance it will make a different design then the blueish with a fade. so be careful and think about it before you do it. you dont want it to look like your a stupid ricer.
i'd like to know if it works out, i have a torch and would be willing to try it if it wasn't raining and ****
why dont you just go buy a titanium exhaust?
...rice. |
most people can afford titanium, this is why people buy rotas instead of volks.
