Dammmm! (my scale is broke NOT)

So i go into the bathroom and weigh my self before getting a shower since ive been dropping weight like a drug dealer (lol) and see this...
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...07-07_1650.jpg

Well i was 233lbs starting three weeks yesterday. As much as id like to believe that, i picked it up about to throw it then moved it to the hard wood and seen that the truth was 219 which was expected. Just caught me off guard major and thought it was funny.

300 crunches & reverse crunches and switching up between dumb bells, benching and curling in 2hrs is a great work out. about to do it for the second time today...

GroceryGetter 03-07-2007 06:07 PM

what are you doing to lose the weight?

Gorilla Unit 33 03-07-2007 06:20 PM

well i first started off by cutting out bread and carbs and killed 8lbs less then a week. The "first 5" are about the easiest to loose, or so ive been told. Now my daily food is like:
Breakfast: one or sometimes if im really hungry two hard boiled eggs

Lunch: i sometimes go without just because im not normally hungry at all if iam i grab something with no carbs, normally a few (4) squares of cheese off a stick of sharp cheddar crackel barrel cheese WITHOUT crackers (trust me u dont think it will take away the feeling of hunger but it does!)

Dinner: Either i stick with a nice size salad consisting of a piece of boiled chicken cut up in it with tomato's and cucumbers OR a can or two of tuna PLAIN, no mayo or miracle whip.

if one meal im feeling a bit more hungry then normal and im home ill grab a peice of steak out of the freezer and cook it up real quick and keep it one step deader then mooing lol

if this is a thread where you are talking about your workout routine and has some potential for discussion, cool. if its a thread where you wanted to say 'my scale is weird' then please dont start threads like that, know what i mean?
if you want to keep it open, cool... but edit the thread title to accurately describe the subject of the thread.
gracias

fixed for you ^

are you doing your crunches right? you shouldnt need to do 1/4 that many to get an effective ab workout? 20-30 gets the job done if you go slow and do them right, add weight if you want to increase intensity. you seirously do 300!? how long does that take? or are you doing 300 total with just a bunch of sets? i cant get over that you do 300 god damn!

GroceryGetter 03-07-2007 06:25 PM

damn troll is out and about this afternoon, as always :), so your doing the atkins diet, i would suggest starting to go to the gym along with the diet, your body sooner or later gets used to the diet and you dont lose as much weight. But good job im starting mine tomorrow :)

Im sure im doing them right, my father is a physical therapist. I do them in a set of 30, my first set then up them in each set i do after that. I do my crunches normally in between going from the bench to the curling or dumb bells to give the arms a break. But yes i do 300 or more every other day, which is my work out schedule now. Every week i up my weight on the bar 10-15lbs and im about to up the dumb bells another 5lbs, i changed them when i feel right because i have past elbow problems.

Troll is just governing. I do "go to the gym", my basement has a bench capable of doing butterfly's and leg curling also and along with that i have multiple dumb bells and a treadmill with an ajustable incline. If theres anything else you think i should be doing im open to taking advice. The only thing im against doing is building (which is not my goal) my legs. There big enough muscle wise and ive done enough leg presses in the past for a life time, but who knows i may change my mind again.

Just to let you know building big isnt my goal here loosing the weight and toning is. Its a normal thing i do every winter just this time im taking it more seriously.

S4toSTI 03-07-2007 06:59 PM

Thats alot in three weeks i lost about 20 over a few months and i thought that was alot.

Gorilla Unit 33 03-07-2007 07:05 PM

Thats what some people have said. Its scary at times but im moving fast always keeping my heartrate up during workouts. Ive also debated using a burner like hydroxycut or some sort of ephedrine, while its still legal, but havent yet. Maybe if i hit a wall at 200 and cant drop anything more i may.

gpzjack 03-07-2007 07:22 PM

ahhhh 174 lbs ...i remember it well....i think the last time i saw less than 200 was about 1987

Crzyguy972 03-07-2007 07:26 PM

nice, congrats

4g4d4u 03-07-2007 07:40 PM

ahh, i figured you would be doing them in sets about halfway through typing that lol. sounds like you have a very intense workout and should have no problem losing weight. whats your target weight to get down to?

Don't do that, those are so bad for you!

Couple things, you need to get some execise into you work out, you're doing muscle training. The only reason crunches are making you lose weight is cause you're doing so damn many off them. Far easier to do a little jogging or time on a tread mill.

And your diet, first take a multi-vitamin if you aren't already. I'd add some fruit for snacks and such. As for cheese with no crackers, you're right, it's actually fat that makes you feel full, not carbs.

My target is to be 180, again. See before i got hit bay a car, i was 180 and had just reached benching my weight so all was good. Then i couldnt pick up a bar or breath hard for months after the accident, probably about 8 to 9 to be exact. My chest hurt so bad. Then when i decided to hop back on a bike again i couldnt cause i sold it to help me have some cash in my pocket while i wasnt/couldnt roofing. I got a pretty penny for it to if you know BMX you would know about 4 years ago the STA-500 frame with profile 3pc, oddessey tripple walls, and a bunch of S&M and FBM parts is a alot of cash

I've had discussions with a few guys who are into dietary supplements and have heard nothing really wrong about stuff without ephedrine. I run Alot every other day for an avg. 2 miles on the treadmill with the incline changing on auto (i think its every two minutes it inclines automatically) so i think theres plenty of excersise in my work out, but if not ill step it up to 3 miles in the upcoming ones. I know i have multi-vitamins in the house somewhere ill try that out also. The only reason, and i told this to my dad also, i dont work in fruits to my diet is that im afraid my body adapts to eating "sweet" tasting things like a drug lol also if i was to increase fruits that means increased fiber which means even more trips to the bathroom LOL. I already piss like a race horse with all the water i drink. But overall i understand what your saying ill try that tomarrow. Maybe a can of tuna and a apple or orange for dinner and maybe one with one hardboiled egg tomarrow for breakfast. Ill see how it works.

Gorilla Unit 33 03-07-2007 08:22 PM

I also wanted to ad that a personal trainer i know said somehting about eating less then 700 calories in a day can cause the body to eat away at muscle. The way i see it if thats true im in deep **** already and i should start eating more tuna lol
