New macro + water =...

Wet lens, burning hot pop up flash, and alot of shots that didn't show anything at all.

Anyway they turned out ok i took about 400 pics got 4 so i don't think thats too bad for a first attempt. To add i am happy digital is free.

i think i like #2 the best but they're all cool. nice job, how do you like the new lens?

james_ls 03-04-2007 11:53 PM

Nice Barry.

What lens did you get?

S4toSTI 03-05-2007 12:26 AM

60mm 2.8 af
I liek it but if i had a 105 it wouldn't have gotten splashed as much.

97TurboDSM 03-05-2007 12:38 AM

how close were you, and how fast was the water running?

I used a 180 macro for my shot in last months photo contest. I am looking at the 105 vr for flowers and such. The 180 gives you a nice working distance for creatures that are a bit shy or wet.

Looks nice Barry, I really like numbers two and four and I'm sure you will only get better with practice.

So you just used the pop-up flash not a bounce/externally mounted unit?
