New macro + water =...
 

Wet lens, burning hot pop up flash, and alot of shots that didn't show anything at all.

Anyway they turned out ok i took about 400 pics got 4 so i don't think thats too bad for a first attempt. To add i am happy digital is free.

I liek it but if i had a 105 it wouldn't have gotten splashed as much.

how close were you, and how fast was the water running?

Dripping and i was about 8 inches max.

so the quick reply box showed up as pure code just now, weird. anyway, the splashing didnt effect the lens at all did it?

Ehh its fine, is water good for it no, but it will be fine.

I used a 180 macro for my shot in last months photo contest. I am looking at the 105 vr for flowers and such. The 180 gives you a nice working distance for creatures that are a bit shy or wet. :wink:

If i were you i would save some money and just find a 105 non vr but thats me.
