Canon's flagship EOS-1D Mark III is the most advanced EOS Digital SLR ever produced. It has a new 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor (APS-H size) with Canon's EOS Integrated Cleaning System and a 3.0-inch LCD monitor with Canon's Live View technology. The 1D Mark III has a redesigned 100% viewfinder, a new 45-point AF system, and can shoot up to 10 fps continuously with a maximum burst of 110 shots. Dual DIGIC III Image Processors work in tandem to speed up every process while refining image quality; a new, lighter body has improved weather sealing and shutter durability. Every facet of the EOS experience has been enhanced with the 1D Mark III. It's the new standard.

This camera is soooooo badass

Wow, that camera is absolutely ridiculous. And wow, Live view technology.

I wonder what Nikon's answer to this is gonna be.

its got a lot of new features, but i dont see a whole lot of them being useful in real world situations to be honest.
sure 10 fps will be appealing to sports photogs, but who on earth would need to shoot 110 shots in a row? that would be painfully counterproductive.
i didnt realize the benefit of the liveview until he started talking about studio work to preview lighting ratios and dof, etc so i do think that might be nice for some.
i dont know, every new generation has been such an incredible step up i guess my expectations for useable features was just a bit higher with this camera.

i studied in paris, i only understood some of it... he talks fast.

one thing i should note is that i'm sure its 10 very very high quality, smooth megapixels... so i'm sure that will kick ass.

Seems very cool between march 5-12 nikon will release something a d3h or d3x most likely exspect the same kind of specs. This camera is very nice.

That's the thing that sucks with digital
as soon as you buy a camera, a new and better one comes out

but yeah, what about the days when a F100 was all i'd ever need for anything? blah to digital as a whole.

D2x's are gonna be super cheap thats all i know.

Even sports photographers don't use the High Burst Mode often. They've perfected their profession and rely on proper timing rather than pure luck with the machine gun mode to get the shot. If you rely on the machine gun method, you'll walk home with several thousand photos to go through, most of them looking about the same.

Yeah, I've been doing automotive photography for the last 9 years, doing random work for companies like Overboost (when they were big several years ago), UrbanRacer.com, Modified (online and print), and a few other smaller freelance gigs.
