Inspection time

Well I'll have my car running again by this weekend and its time for inspection. Anyone know any "emission friendly" places to get inspected if you do pm me it would help alot.

Honduh 02-23-2007 12:52 AM

what will make your car fail?

Spocknasty 02-23-2007 12:53 AM

Contact me as well please.

Honduh 02-23-2007 12:57 AM

i have my inspection and safety licenses so id be will to do it as long as i dont have to do anything shady to pass your car. i dont mind turning my head as long as it can pass the computer/dyno part.

97TurboDSM 02-23-2007 12:59 AM

arent pre-'95 cars emissions exempt?

Honduh 02-23-2007 01:01 AM

95 are far from exempt.

96+ is the obd2 test

96 and older get a 50/15 test on the dyno

97TurboDSM 02-23-2007 01:15 AM

ah ok..i thought i'd read somewhere that if your car was a certain age it was exempt from emissions. guess not.

I have an o2 dump and no cat I have no problem hooking it up to a machine.

Honduh would you be willing to do inspection/emission on my 91 CRX Si B18b turbo?

I always have my one friend do it but I haven't talked to him for a while and feel bad calling him just for that, I'll throw you a few bucks too...it exprise this month but I'm in no rush, let me know if you are able to and when youa re free...Matt

Less than 5000 miles since your last inspection if you have owned the vehicle for more than one year is exempt. As far as the certain year exemption, its exempt if the car was made before 1972 I believe. I also have my safety and emissions license and I work in Doylestown if you’re interested.

The computer obd2 test will only pass if you have all but 2 monitors set and no MIL light on>

S4toSTI 02-23-2007 12:17 PM

What if you have obd1 and you have awd?

CWon7bolt? 02-23-2007 12:22 PM

It gets whats called 2 speed idle test

Oh thanks for clearing that up I though it was 5k per year but 5K between last inspection makes sense....

CWon7bolt? 02-23-2007 03:17 PM

1991 Honda CRX Si w/ a 95 Integra B18b1 motor and a Homemade turbo kit...

No CELs run rich due to the basemap tune, probably some exhaust leaks too but the tires, brakes and other saftey items are up to spec...
