So I Put On My Winter Boots [Finally...]
 

Decided to give the ol' P1's a break for the winter [and being wrapped in RE070's, I didn't want them giving me any sort of break in the snow.]

So -- wrapped some '05 Legacy GT rims with Falken ZE M+S for the next couple of months, and eventhough I prefer the Prodrive's 1000x more, I have to admit, these look a lot better than I expected them to...


Can we all agree that these are, at the very least, better than the 02/03 stockers??

I have to agree they do look better than stock '02 - '03 wheels. Its funny but its almost odd seeing a WRB subaru without gold wheels, I like it. Definitely a nice set of winter wheels.

I have a question about your front license plate bracket. I have seen more and more of them recently and I figure here is as good a place as any to ask.

What is the purpose of them, is it just supposed to be harder to read for cops and cameras?

I think I just fell in love. those rims look amazing better then alot of the aftermarket rims ive seen.

haha - it's funny, my summer rims are gold P1's lol [soon to be metalic bronze ;) w. teal rays lugs & project mu rotors]


but about the bracket -- it's to avoid red light tickets in the city. i always find myself caught in the box at the end of a light and i dont want any pesky tickets/fines - -works like a charm. just on sunday i had a flash go off on me ;)
the whole scheme is a JDM thing, though - - drivers in Japan use similar brackets to thward speed cameras on the highway
