New BIG Toy Pictures!

I finally got around to snapping some new pictures. Damn this thing is fun to drive around It's a 2007 JCB Robot 170. One of the only options I didn't get was A/C, mainly because it's cheaper to add a more effective after market unit. I'll be picking up the trencher attachment within the next couple weeks. Also, the side door kicks ass

I'm picking up a trencher attachment within the next couple of weeks, and I work with my old mans electrical contracting company. Let me know if you find any jobs where you can use this or sub out to my company.

Gorilla Unit 33 02-02-2007 02:36 PM

this thing is pimp. bet you pick up all the construction working bitches in that thing. My friend was asking me yesterday about this, he saw it when you posted the for rent thread. He was wondering what a ball park figre is for one of these if you dont mind me asking. He works with these everyday, he worsk for Garnet valley tree service. feel free to pm me it if u rather not state it in the thread.

PM sent, but for the rest of the curious people, you can buy stripped down, smaller skid steers than the one I bought brand new for a little under $20,000, and you can deck one out, get a tracked version with all options and be up well over $50,000.

What does it run in the 1/4?

///MpoweredM 02-02-2007 10:57 PM

Welcome to the Club. How much did you pay for it. Its a 170 too? Wonder what the JCB and my New Holland 170 Unit have in common. Nice Buy.

Check all your fluids after about 10 Hours. Its important and follow the Everyday running program that it comes with cause parts get expensive for these things.

The books got all kinds of hourly checkups :bigeek: 10 hour increments, 20, 40, 100, 200, 250, 1000, and on and on and on.

It was 26 out the door, taxes/delivery included. That was with literally every option except for a/c and block heater, plus a snow bucket. I could have bought a stripped down one for a little under 20. All of the other places wanted 28 or more (one of them quoted me 34) for the exact same spec. machine, before taxes and additional fees withOUT the extra bucket (I think it's right around $1000).

Here is the comparison for the 06 models, the 07 JCB's are slightly upgraded with concerns to hp/tq (up to a whopping 51 instead of 50, not sure on tq, it's probably marketing anyway), and total lifting (07 is now up to 1785). I'm not sure if the New Hollands are changed or not, but it was JCB's goal to make the 07 the strongest in the class....

New Holland LS170 NH N844 Turbo (hp)50 (length/width)125/66 (weight)5,540 (fuel)14.4 gal (hydraulics)17.7 gpm (rated lifting)1,765 (tipping)3,530 (reach)115

JCB 170 Robot 2.2 Liter Diesel Engine 50 128.5/63 5,532 21 gal 15.9/30.4 gpm(I have highflow) 1,543 3,086 115.25

damn.. I paid 24,970 out the door with taxes / insurance, i have every option heat/a/c so on, i even have a grading bucket and a big bucket

ITSTOCK 02-03-2007 02:22 PM

I could have picked up an 06 (instead of the 07) brand new with the same options that I have for $24 out the door instead of $26. At any rate, all of the companies were within a couple thousand dollars of each other when I priced them out, with JCB and Gehl being the two cheapest (you only paid 1000 less then me, so that sounds correct, probably better at negotiating over me :lol: but other dealers wanted 30+ for the same thing I bought) What big bucket do you have (84" I'm assuming)? I only have the 66" dirt bucket (pictured), and the 66" snow bucket.
