Least violent 10-second-car launch I've ever seen, haha. Impressive nonetheless, that's a fast Neon especially considering it's streetable.
I take it they rented out the track?

eviltalon 01-30-2007 12:04 AM

Thats one fast neon.

delspool 01-30-2007 12:06 AM

damn, red is truly the fastest lol

nosuchluck 01-30-2007 12:09 AM

yeah the car is pretty impressive, you can hear it break up top end, they ran out of fuel and are now working on a new turbo and fuel system. i just think it is cool that these are local guys and not random guys from half way across the country

haha thats what i was going to say.
They were 2 great runs there, i just cant beleive the srt's went from barely breaking into the high 10's and now this one is a lower 10. I havent been following srt4's as much as i use to so i guess i missed out of a few things. Got a mod list for that car?

Nice, the auto is the way to go. Still cant wait to see Tiny's car make some passes eventually. You can see/hear the need for the bigger injectors and with the aem that should be no problem. I can picture this car hitting a high 9, with more fuel, tuning and maybe a bigger turbo. When did these runs take place? Curious becuase i wndering if they will be able to get the car back to the track while the air is still good. I gotta find some engine bay pics of this car.

just noticed the n2mb logo on the injector cover - now thats cool that the logo i made is on the fastest street srt4 :)...

also nice to know that the hands that helped put that together put mine together as well

I looked up the car on srt forums. They still could up the boost a few more psi. Supposedly its full interior, minus a/c but they added a cage and auto trans. The use a shot of nitrous to spool up the turbo cause of the auto trans. They just havent said how big or small a shot yet.

it's going into the 9s... they are all great people there too, when my trans broke on the side of the road.... the owner of that car came with a trailer loaded my pos in it and got me to the shop...

My buddy was talking to Darell last weekend and he told us he was building a car "for some Jersey guy". I thought that was the funniest part about the whole thing.

I was going to do Darells stroker, but he's harder to get in touch with then the president, so i'm biulding my own.

The N2MB and DCR car are shooting to be the first Streetable SRT into the 9's. If all goes as planned they should be there in a roughly a month. It's going to be interesting, because there are several over cars (1 in Florida, 1 in AZ, and one private) cars that are also shooting for the 9's early in the season.

9's and streetable don't really go hand in hand...

streetable in the sense it's not a ripped to peices `race car`, some people take pride in having a car that isnt 100% fiber glass 100% gutted... if it was the car would already be in the 9s...
