i dont like the glare on the page but it was a quick shot i liked so i can always go back and do it

james_ls 01-26-2007 01:18 AM

I kinda like the glare.

Sets it off.

Killer idea.

wrxman60 01-26-2007 10:46 AM

thats kind of a weird book marker...

Broken5hift 01-26-2007 10:49 AM

looks awesome, great idea for a pic!

97TurboDSM 01-26-2007 12:51 PM

i think that shot is awesome. i also like the glare, kind of makes a frame for the ring and the heart. great job

TROLL 01-26-2007 01:36 PM

wow i didnt notice the heart until now... i like that. i would try to get rid of the glare and see if you can really emphasize the heart as much as you can, possibly by shooting it vertical and tight. if you're really going for the romantic thing here, possibly a book of poems or something symbolic for the text that does end up legible.

Kerplunk105 01-26-2007 02:00 PM

I really like it. I think its a neat shot. The heart is really cool.

charliemopps24 01-26-2007 02:03 PM

Shaat man, that's really cool how the shaddow below the ring makes a heart. I just point and shoot with my digi cam. Props to you.

Snoozie 01-26-2007 02:07 PM

Wow, I really like that. The glare does give the right tone to compliment the photo, but it is a little too much. I think thats the only thing I would change about it.

james_ls 01-26-2007 02:09 PM

If you wanna keep the shadow of the ring...but no glare...you might have to double-layer it.

YellowMSP 01-26-2007 02:10 PM

thanks for the comments guys, it was just somethin i did quick last night. im gonna try it some other time with a better setup now that i know more of how i want it to look

i already thought about doin the love poem, love book or somethin like that underneath but i only had one of my bus. and prof speaking books near me so i just used that. i wanna find a different ring too that may have like an engraving on the inside to try and focus on that. and ill try shooting it more vertical to get that glare out cuz it bothers me too

TROLL 01-26-2007 02:13 PM

you could try a polarizing filter to cut out or cut down the glare... and i like the idea with the engraving too. still lives can be really cool since you can keep working and working on it, i'm not used to that but i do like it.

YellowMSP 01-26-2007 02:28 PM

i didnt think to use my polarizing filter, ill keep that in mind when get a love book or somethin to try taking it again and i gotta ask some friends if they have a good ring to use with an engraving. its also good doing still life because u can always go back to change it to how u want it without being a big hassle. thanks for the tips troll

95legenddriver 01-26-2007 03:07 PM

sweet pIC is there another book that has pages not as glossy as that so you wont get that glare

raceMpower95 01-30-2007 06:34 PM

scott, since when do you take pictures? thats not bad, but i would definitely do a vertical crop on it to emphasize the heart as the subject. what camera did you shoot that with?

raceMpower95 01-30-2007 06:37 PM

something like this:

YellowMSP 01-30-2007 09:46 PM

yea it was kinda just like a trial run to see how i wanted it, i got bored the other night at school so took that. im gonna go back and redo it to put more emphasis on the heart and like a love poem book under it or somethin

and i have the same camera u do

05Accent 01-30-2007 09:47 PM

i like it alot.. the shadow it makes is sweet.

Signatus230 01-30-2007 09:55 PM

Very nice... some of the best images I have seen are just shots taken by "bored" people, lol.

grimm 01-31-2007 09:23 AM
